Gears of War 2 special midnight launch events in NY, LA, London and Seattle

London, Los Angeles, New York and Seattle will hold special events and contests where GoW 2 branded consoles, Zunes, comics, art books, posters and "more" will be given away. Microsoft is putting its effort behind the LA launch, which will have the game's voice cast, Clifford Bleszinski (aka: CliffyB, Cliff Söze, Cliff Organa Solo) and other MS notables in attendance. After the break we've listed all the special launch locations, with some more details about who will be attending.
London:
GAME at 64-66 Clarence Street, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 1NP
- Gears of War comic book artist Liam Sharp and Microsoft Game Studios staff.
GameStop at Universal City Walk, 1000 Universal Studios Blvd, Universal City, CA 91608
- Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson, autograph signings by Cliff Bleszinski, voice actors John DiMaggio (Marcus Fenix), Lester "Rasta" Speight (Augustus Cole) and Carlos Ferro (Dominic Santiago).
- "Delta Squad" – costumed characters from Nightmare Armor Studios will be there (bring your camera).
- Note that lineups will not begin before 11 a.m. PST.
Best Buy, 622 Broadway, New York, NY 10012
- Epic Games' senior producer Rod Fergusson and Epic Games team members will attend and autograph copies of the game.
Best Buy, 457 120th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98005
- Gears of War 2 co-writer Joshua Ortega and Microsoft Game Studios staff.

Yeah, John DiMaggio is awesome for doing the Marcus Fenix voice in his interviews. Usually you would think they would be annoyed to be asked to do it but that guy always does it.

Right now GEARS Of WAR 2 is rocking a 95 on Metacritic!! With 18 reviews making it the highest rated game of the year so far! It's beating Metal Gear by 1 point.....Keep those reviews coming!!

Wait I have a revision.......Sigh....Grand Theft Auto has the highest scores of the Year it has a total of 98 on Metacritic.....Really? 98? Well at least LBP has a 95....GTA4 GOTY? Fuck that shit.

To be fair, I'm only about 10-12 hours into Fallout 3.

Tuna, GTAIV became a real snooze for me. I'm hoping the DLC will give it a little life so I can tolerate playing it again.

Personally I thought GTA 4 took its self to serious...I....actually like Saints Row 2 more? It was mindless fun the same thing that made GTA GREAT up until 4 I'm just bored with it!

not meaning to sound judgmental, but i think i'm gonna avoid the cesspool of obnoxious, over-obsessed, nerdy fanboys, who like to bicker about what system's the best, whose character is most powerful in WoW, and whose participated in the most betas, that comprises most of these "launch parties". besides, i have to work bright and early Friday morning.
