If you're a Wii owner you'll be up for North American Hunting Adventure, which could theoretically have a Deathmatch component if Dick Cheney is a playable character.

This is "I wish I could afford both consoles" week.

Funny, I own all the consoles, and there's nothing that interests me this week.

I played both Gears 1 and Resistance 1 and found them pretty boring. I only finished them because I had a friend playing split screen co-op with me.

I kind of agree with you Waves. I can wait 6 months to play these games when I can buy a used copy.

@Mike,

lol, looks like you're the only one, judging by how gray my comment is. Luckily I have Fable and Fallout to play right now, and LBP is probably my next purchase. Then I have to stop buying games until xmas so I can save some money for gifts and save some games for people to buy me.

@waves

I totally agree with you. I also played both Resistance 1 and Gears 1 (I own both systems) and I found both of em to be... alright. Definitely nothing spectacular.

I'll eventually rent both of them from Gamefly simply to continue each's story (both had fairly good stories) but I'm really in no rush to play them.

With LittleBIGPlanet, Fable 2, and Tales of Vesperia still keeping me busy and with Left 4 Dead and BanjoKazooie coming out within the next fews weeks I am definitely fine with holding off.

+'s for both of you. :)

I enjoyed the PC port of Gears 1, but found Resistance 1 to be pretty dull. The weapon design is interesting, but I must be 'not playing it right' or something.

Still, R2 doesn't look so bad - less grey, more co-op and colours ;D

I played all of Gears 1 with my then room-mate co-op, start to finish. Never did 1P mode at all.

We've both moved across the country to different locations so I'm really looking forward to the co-op campaign over live in GoW2.

I'll second Markez' take. Playing both game's campaign in co-op made each vastly more fun for me.

Agreed. I think that co-op was the one thing was impressive about both of those games. Together they set the standard for co-op on next-gen (maybe Gears a little more so). I'm hoping for Left4Dead to take that torch and run with it.

It's not about working at burger king. It's about having lives. You see, we don't all live in your mommy's basement.

Some of us have wives, kids, 2 car payement, Morgage, etc. So buying a GAME a week gets expensive on the budget.

I'll be getting Gears of Wars 2 myself even if I'm not done with Deadspace (almost though, I am at chapter 11) Fable II and Fallout 3 (still didn't even put that one in my 360 so far).

Even though us Americans complain about the higher cost of gas than years back, Europeans for instance have been accustomed to very high fuel prices for a long time. But yet, they also use much more public transportation, have much better infrastructures than parts of the U.S which we need to learn from, especially Houston. :(

It's a sad state of affairs when the PS2 list looks better than the Wii list. But holy crap the PS3 and 360 list's are a boon to gamers everywhere. I've bought 3 games in less than a month and have around 5 more that interest me greatly.

oh I'll totally be picking up "Game Party/Cruis'n" (wtf kind of name...)

No but really, I never jumped on the Resistance bandwagon, I've always been looking forward to the next Killzone, but then I saw a commercial for R2. R1 looked kinda bland, should I give it a go? Am I wrong here??

R1 didn't shatter any FPS rules, but it was a solid and well done action title. I enjoyed it a lot. I will be grabbing R2 for sure, just because its nice to get some games that have high production values and a solid core engine, so the disappointment is less likely.

Is it just me, or does every week have at least (1) Wii title with a S replaced with a Z in the name?

Unfortunately, the name I wanted was taken and had to replace the letter. Unlike the Wii titles, I doubt that "Brats Kids: Slumber Party", "Pets Sports", "Pets Horses Club", and "Brats: Girls Really Rock" were already taken and they had to resort to a Z. I forgot that making a comment (neither negative or positive) about the Wii would result in fanboy attack.

Well for one "Bratz" is the name of the franchise the game is based on. That's hardly Nintentdo's doing.

LOL, man, I hate the Wii, don't blame it on that.

Even you have to admit the hypocrisy of complaining about people using 'z' to replace 's' in their titles, while posting under a username that does the exact same thing. I almost thought it was intentional at first...

I complained or said something derogatory about Nintendo? More like I just had a question regarding title names. Way to blow things out of proportion Wii fanboys.

Personally, I'll be buying Resistance 2, and playing my housemate's copy of Gears 2. Moar fun for me, I guess.

OK. They're both identically good games. The PS3 gets Resistance, 360 gets Gears. If you were only going to get one and have both consoles- just make an arbitrary decision. They're both shooters and they both got a 9.5 from IGN.
