Prepare for a Gears of War 2 Assault Weekend

Take it from someone who has played the game, both multi-player and single. Its not what it use to be. the single player is great I have nothing bad to say about it. In fact, its just as good if not better then the frist one.

Multi-player is where I have alot of problems. Frist off. You dont get to pick what mode, or map you play, it a vote. Second, you dont get to choose what team you are on, meanning Red team or Blue team, it is random.

The way multi-player runs? Its very lethargic. They messed with too much stuff. Trying to make the game perfect. The shotgun is so slow, its the last thing you want to use. They have taken an up close and personal in your face game to a game where you kill from a distance. Maps at times fill like the size of call of duty 4 and with 5 v 5 thats not a good thing. The one bright spot is hord. If you love killing and blowing up stuff, this is where its at people. I played 4 hours for one match of hord and got 562 kills and got to level 48.

Im not writing this to keep people from buying the game, or saying that its bad. Im just saying, dont start the game thinking you can play like you used to. Its a whole new feel people. And your going to have to get use to gears all over again.

Your negatives sound like positives to me. I like the idea of voting to see what mode you will be playing, and technically if your voting, then the people are choosing what they want to play. Also I like the idea of being put on a side randomly. Too many people in Gears 1 wanted to be a COG and would even cry about it and quit the game if they had to be a locust.

I'm getting it from Amazon too, but I did the launch day method so it's delivered on Friday. I think it was only 5 bucks more, see if you can change it now. It's well worth it for all this stuff.

Well, I'm guessing I can download the XBLM stuff without the game. Those tournaments you usually have to be 18 for (I'm 17).
