Super Street Fighter II Turbo HDR finished, submitted, targeted for Nov.

"Very soon" could very well mean "this month" for the release of Capcom's HD remix of Super Street Fighter II Turbo on PSN and XBLA, according to an official forum post by Christian Svensson, the company's VP of strategic planning & business development.
Svensson confirmed that the game is finished and has been submitted to both Microsoft and Sony for approval, but that one or both versions could get bumped if the process hits any snags. "November is indeed the target month," he said, while cautioning that, "It is possible for us to bounce the submission on one and not the other which would cause the release to potentially not be simultaneous and still be released in November on one of the two."

And before Duke Nukem Forever, no less. Miracles happen every day...

I have not heard many good things from the beta players. Then again, beta players are supposed to bitch.
I will check out the demo when it hits.
CLOUD9 @ Nov 3rd 2008 8:40PM
Yeah the beta was fun only on local play. Online play was filled with lag. The beta is still going on last time I checked and that was two weeks ago. I want to get this game for my 360 but the D-Pad is horrible. I'm still not sure what I'm going to get this for. Here's hoping it comes out in November.

Those are some pretty sprite right there...This game better be as fast or faster than SF Third Strike dammit!
DangerMouse @ Nov 3rd 2008 8:49PM
It's just SSF2T, it'll be the same speed(s).
ExMcCloud @ Nov 3rd 2008 9:48PM

That's exactly what I was thinking. I've been in class too long today.
Stupid art schools...

Cannot wait to play this! I'm thinking of getting the PS3 version because of the better D-Pad, but still not sure. They are the same are they not? or is on a port of the other?
MC Double Def DP @ Nov 3rd 2008 10:35PM
Good thing I have both consoles. I plan on getting this for ps3 for superior D-pad (not that ps3's is great... just better than 360) but I need some smooth online game play too.
AxelFury @ Nov 3rd 2008 11:29PM
Going with the 360 cause I have a Hori stick for it already, but I agree. The online play is worrying me the most. It will make or break it.
Patrick @ Nov 3rd 2008 11:31PM
I'd love to be the one at Sony or Microsoft who is asked, "Hey, do you mind playing a ton of Street Fighter 2 and getting paid for it?"
wickedpheonix @ Nov 4th 2008 3:51AM
perfect, just in time for me to use that free 1600 point card that's coming with my Gears 2 purchase :D
Chase @ Nov 4th 2008 6:46AM
Same here.

WTF? Is Capcom really so stressed for ideas at this point? How many versions of ONE GAME can they possibly come up with??? It's time to move on... TO SUPER STREET FIGHTER 2 ALPHA TURBO HD HOLO DIGITAL HDR READY 3500RPM 92MPG GAMMA+ EXTREME WITH MOTION CONTROL VS. MARVEL EXCLUDING IRON MAN BUT INCLUDING TONY STARK WITH AMAZING ARC WELDING SUPER MOVE. Seriously though, the only new fighting game that could possibly impress me would be something like Capcom vs. MK vs. Smash Bros. or any combination of those three. Hey... I can dream.
