If you search rrr30000, you'll find it as that's the author's name.

"I like to "verb" words"

"What?"

"You know, take a noun, and make it into an action. Remember when "access" was a thing? Now its something you do. It got verbed."

"Verbing wierds language"

Does this mean we can stop saying Sweded?

I played this level last night... I think I finally figured out how he got the ship to seem like it's floating around independently.

i was thinking of copying it to my moon but i figured they used the back plane and a grab trigger emitter and a jet pack. they have a moving save spot and i think some clever use of brains

I still haven't figured out how the hell that guy made the LBP calculator.

I have absolutely no idea how they made this level either. Levels like this make me extremely sad, because I know I could never make anything nearly as awesome within LBP. There is almost no point in trying. Atleast I get to play them though, that's something.

this is brilliant! When the sack enters the 'ship' in the beginning, I'm guessing that it is a floaty sponge in the shape of a hallowed square that he enters, with either a jetpack in it or a jetpack emittor creating one once it's pushed past a certain point. Then, the sackboy can jet around with the floaty sponge moving where ever he goes. When he grabs the sponge, it triggers an attached emitter to shoot the lazers. I still can't figure out how the ship prop is attached through the wall though.

So cool looking definitely. Doesn't look like that much fun to play though.

I guess finding these things, playing through them once and looking for more is what's fun though, huh?

Cheers to the fanbases!

i was actually thinking the same thing. ive had the game for a little over a week now and that seems to be the trend with the game. the levels look really cool but playing them is only fun like once or twice.

my internet is not working (because my ISP is a terrible company) so i havent been able to play any user made levels yet, so ive pretty much stopped playing the game until my internet is fixed. ive been playing Tales of Vesperia lately though and im pickin up R2 after class today, so im not mad at LBP, i already knew the online part was the most important.

I had to search for the creator's name (RRR30000) and select find more levels by author before I was able to find the Gradius level. He also has a tetris remake.

If I wanted to play Gradius, SMBs, etc. I would have played those games.

The Azure Palace board was remarkable.

I need to find this level.....

The only thing I wish would be better sorting, like they showed at GDC 2007 where you had different options to sort (highest ranked, Dev levels, friends, just added etc.) instead of the globe.

Other than that, I cannot wait for good levels to be made, and to make some levels. Right now, I'm a little overwhelmed over all the options in the editor and I know I'm not the only one.

I just found out that you can use L1 and R1 (or is it L2 and R2) to page through the "Cool Levels" when you're on the globe. I think this one was on page five as of an hour ago.

This game, much like Metal Gear Solid 4 before it, is nothing short of amazing. I thought it was gonna be some lame kids game when I bought it at my girlfriends request, and man, I love it. It's taken me away from SOCOM for many-an-hours.

I kind of have it figured out. I tried recreating it. Basically You get into a sponge that has a hole in the middle on the back layer. It moves it forward with the rocket until it is behind a rubber "background" as you would see it and runs past a jet pack hidden behind the rubber background. The rubber background is a thin layer which can be done by pressing R1 I believe which is placed between the middle and back layer. Objects can pass through the thin layer. He has a piece of wood connecting the sponge in the background layer and ship in either the middle or front layer. This is as far as I have gone, however the ship in front doesnt stay level as when im using the jetpack it rocks the sponge in all different ways. Also there is a grabbable switch attached to the sponge that would fire an emitter of bullets from the ship.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. MM knows what a powerful toolbox they have provided for creative players, and they know there's potential for something amazing and surprising like this.

The binary calculator was boring but sheer genius. This level is still genius but more fun.

Hats off to Media Molicule, a tiny English software house of 30 employees have created a totally open ended game creation tool with physics. Can you start to imagine to kind of levels that will be created once the knowledge starts getting passed around..... The mind truly boggles.

This "game" is going to change everything.... it is a new genre of game, well done MM and Well done Sony for believing in these guys.

That's the beauty of this game, there are creators and players. The players reinforce the creators by commenting, hearting and selecting tags, raising the good levels to the top of the stack. The creators strive for good stuff to get rankings from the players.

You don't ever have to edit a level to enjoy this game. You also don't have to ever play more than the intro levels (and tutorials) if all you want to do is build.

Stunning in the way that they somehow found a way to make Gradius boring.
