So that's 3.5 million potential customers they're not working for. They don't have to pick one over the other, you know.

maybe because activision sold TWICE as many copies of cod4 on the 360 than the ps3. 6.5 million on 360 and 3.5 million on ps3. and they know they will sell more copies of cod5 on the 360 also.

duh...

It's TOO much of the same! Honestly, none of the challenges in multiplayer have even been changed. The menus, the upgrades, the look, its all the same as COD 4. It took Treyarch 2 years to make this? Seriously?

I turned off the election results after Ohio. I'm probably the only person smart enough to add California/Oregon/Washington to the total before being told to do so by CNN. The race was over before 9 eastern, the networks just didn't want to admit it since they knew you'd stop watching if they did. Poor Wolf Blitzer was probably having a fit trying to keep himself from screaming "BARACK WINNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!" at 9:00 PM Eastern.

I realize that... its just we wrote the story this morning, quite a bit of time before this one went up.

Its hard to be a part of a blog that isnt called Joystiq or Kotaku. We get a decent amount of traffic, but when we do manage to get a story before they can we want as much attention to it as possible. I shouldn't be mad because its possible they just didn't see my email.

I would probably say you need to turn off the parental controls. I would bet this BETA did not receive an independent rating from the ESRB, and therefore would be treated like an "RP" or "Rating Pending" game on the software side, which is actually a higher content rating than that of "M". So, if you are allowed to play "M" and below, you will be unable to play this content.

It says its rated "M", my console's set to allow all ratings, and it's let me download "M" rated stuff like Halo 3 DLC just fine, so I don't know what's wrong...=\

It is possible that you are what Xbox calls a "Child Account". This restricts your Xbox Live activity beyond the built-in console controls. This happens when you identify yourself as being younger than a certain age (I think it may be 17 or 18) when signing up for Xbox Live. I had this problem because when Xbox Live launched on the original Xbox, I beleive I was 16, so I had to use my mom's credit card to sign up (back then Live required a credit card). Well, I still have the same account but my account was forever marred with "child account" even up until I was 21 and had moved the account over to Xbox 360. I called Xbox support and they said there was no fix, but one was in the works. Sometime earlier this year I got an email telling me that I could "upgrade" my account to a full-privileged account (now 22 years old lol) and told me to go to my account settings, which finally fixed the problem for me. Perhaps look into this?

I've been in the beta for a few weeks and I think the MP portion of the game sucks. I just can't stand how in COD if you get shot two or three times your dead. If people loved to play Modern Warfare online then they will probably like this one as well. It's essentially the same frame rate and engine with a different set of weapons and subject matter. I was pretty disappointed in the game. I would rather just play Gears, Resistance 2 & Far Cry 2. Heck, I'd rather play Mirrors Edge or the new Tomb Raider instead of this one. I will wait for the next iteration from Infinity Ward - which will be something new and fresh like Modern Warfare was.

johnny what do u have against a realistic shooter game?
you are supposed to die if you get shot a few times or 1 time in the head.
thats part of the fun of it. "no running and gunning"

what part of call of duty 4 or 5 and world war 2 did you not understand??

u understand that world war 2 was a real war and that call of duty is trying to recreate that in game form.??

yeah your right though cod6 might be crazy. sci fi shooter could be great from infinity ward. but it will probably still be realistic.

Yes, but thanks to the so called "realism" the entire outcome of the fight relies on who saw the other guy first.

That's why I prefer HP-based shooters as you last much longer which resuts in much more interesting 1-on-1's and longer/better skirmishes.Being able to eat a bit a damage on games like TF2 or Halo 3 gives you another tactical angle and brings a completely new dimension to the game.Hell, even the much more "fragile" system on Q/UT is still balanced and fun.

Besides, if I was to rant about CoD4, one-shot-one-kill would be one of the less important flaws anyway...

or any and ALL realistic shooter games.

only somebody that sucks at shooters would ever complain about being killed after a few shots.

why would somebody want to turn a realistic shooter into a sci fi shooter? just keep playing those games... lol.

hows socom btw? if you dont die after a few shots the game is lame...

jakka- it defeats the running and gunning mentality.
somebody can have 25 kills out of 50 on halo 3 and not do good on cod4...

its hard to compare a realistic and sci fi shooters.
why even compare the 2?
just take both for what they are and play the ones you like more...
geez gamers will complain about anything these days...

I didn't say a shot in the head. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. I would prefer to play Gears 2 online than any COD game. The COD MW single player campaign was epic but I'm just not a fan of the multiplayer. Not much more to it than that.

People were complaining last night that it's too similar to COD4. I tend to think that the familiarity made it easier to pick up and play. Try it out and see what you think, but I bet you'll like it. Some of the things they did differently are improvements and I can't really see a glaring shortcoming yet, as far as the environments, weapons, general gameplay.

First off allot of people here seem to dislike COD3, I personally loved it. I've been playing COD since 2 and that was my favorite. Since then, I believe, the COD series has been getting worse and although this was almost the same game as COD 4 I think it was a very small improvement on that.
@Sora, my account had this problem to. When i called Microsoft they told me there was no way to fix it but that i could make a new silver account with an adults email on it that would allow me to download everything, all things i have downloaded with it have been accessible by all the accounts. The only negative is switching accounts when i cant download something
Oh and why is every one freaking out that Sackolantern/Johnnynumber5 and Jakka dislike realistic shooters.I am Inferring if thats not true just say so, don't freak out.
