MCV says that it has obtained a list of upcoming Capcom releases with a promising nugget for scare-prone PC gamers within. Alongside listings for 360 and PS3, a PC version of Resident Evil 5 is also present and accounted for, though no such announcement has been made by Capcom.
Our sister site Big Download did some Columbo-esque digging with the company, but got only a "we have not yet made any announcements about a PC version" for their efforts. Here's hoping we hear something more official soon.

Higher resolution with more FPS :)
Let's hope so, keyboard and mouse support would be great too -- although I'm okay with the Xbox 360 controller support in Vista.

you'd THINK so, but every other PC port of any RE game has been total shit. And I'm not even kidding. RE4 was the biggest letdown ever.. poor controls, NO MOUSE SUPPORT (WTF), low res textures, resolution was locked at something ridiculous like 800x600, and they used the pre-rendered cinematics from the PS2 version rather than in-game cutscenes from the GameCube version. Actually, they must have ported from the PS2 version since a lot of the improvements in the GC version were missing from the PC port.
bleh, I just hope they learned from their mistakes. a lot of really bad console to PC ports lately, but also a lot of really good ones (dead space is an example of how to do a PC port properly. mass effect is another).

Hey eldee, what improvements in the GC version did the PC miss out on. The GC version had less features and content than the Ps2 version, tho vastly better graphix.
That being said, playing this on either PC or 360, it's going to pale in comparison to the EXCELLENT job they did with the controls on the Wii edition of RE4. The controls upgrade alone is worth the purchase, nevermind the 480p 16:9 anamorphic widescreen.

Capcom is doing PC games in-house now instead of outsourcing them, and it seems to be working well. Devil May Cry 4 on the PC was fantastic.

I was having a hard enough time deciding between the 360 and PS3 version. Now it'll be ever harder... thanks Capcom.

Not surprising, most of the RE series has been ported to the PC before, and it's even easier for Capcom now since their engine is multi-platform.

Not all of them, but RE4 was pretty damn disappointing on the PC.

I can't believe you just took us back to the late 80's/early 90's with "sike". LOL.

This will most definitely look better on my PC, but my consoles are hooked up to 5.1 surround which is important for survival horror games...I'm thinking console FTW, but its close.

Yeah, I used to have my PC hooked up to my living room 5.1 receiver\TV, but the KB\Mouse setup on the couch was awkward. I guess I just need 5.1 in my computer room...

Capcom announced sometime ago (and you reported it, I think) that all its games being developed now and in the future will get a PC release. Mostly because they are developing all their game on the PC first, and then porting them to each console.

so it DOES pay to have a wii and pc for gaming, and not a PS3/360

re4 on pc graphics were way crisper than on any of the consoles...you could actually make out the herbs clearly hidden in the grass. it did't support k/m but used typical gamepad perfectly.
my only complaint was it came out so damn late....
