Rock Band 2 bonus DLC codes are being sent out

In an effort to inform the masses (or, at the very least, stop the massive influx of emails coming down the tips line), we thought it'd be wise to inform you to check your inbox to see if you got an email from "Rock Band 2 Game Registrations" with the subject "Your Download Code - Rock Band 2 Bonus DLC." We don't want to spoil the contents ... but it's a 25-digit code to get the 20 bonus Rock Band 2 tracks.

The digital track pack is one giant 540.73 MB download, so put it in your queue and get ready to rock out to a bunch of bands you've probably never heard of. If you haven't gotten your email yet, don't fret, as Harmonix previously said the codes would be sent during a 24 hour window.

I got my code, but don't know if I'm even going to use it. The song list is a pile of crap.

Does "pile of crap" mean you've listened to them and don't like them, or does "pile of crap" means you've never heard the songs and aren't giving them a chance?

I can think of faster ways to waste 5 gigs of space.

Well then shagg, why don't you give your code to me? It'd be nice to have a few bonus songs to go with my used copy of RB2.

Anyone have any luck using the songs? I sucessfully entered my code and downloaded the file but the songs are not showing up in RB2. I can't figure out if I need to activate them somehow after they have been downloaded

got my code now i just need to get off work, go to the gym, then hang out with work peoples then go home and use it

why are you giving us your schedule? are you trying to prove that you have a life? no one gives a crap about your schedule.

I just played through a couple, and so far they're pretty good.

Does anyone know if you can delete songs individually from the download?

I have not seen where you can delete individual songs just the entire download.

I got my code but I'm working in the lab for a while longer... Sadness.

I'll give the songs a download and hope they're decent. I'm sure they'll be good, despite that I haven't heard of any of the bands. My only issue is that my HDD is getting very very very near full!

I got my code. The songs are not to bad but the track pack 2 release coming later this month is much better but its not free like these are, but if you got gamefly you can rent tp2 and copy to the hard drive w/o spending more money 8)

Will these 20 songs still be available far after launch?

Oh man, what a massive disappointment. Every single track is utter crap unless you listen to your local girls pop rock radio station or like incredibly bad "metal" or "hard rock."

My new DLC tracks don't work. The game says that they are no longer available and boots me out. Can somebody tell me how to delete these things?

Here's a positive update. While I was ranting to you guys, I was re-downloading the Bonus Pack. They work this time. I neglected to say in my last post that I am using the PS3 platform. For those of you still having problems, try signing onto the Playstation Network using the account you downloaded the songs with before you try to play DLCs from this pack. If this doesn't work, download them again. It worked for me.

I'm starting to run out of hard drive.
