Sweet! Thanks for the list.

Ah if only they had online play - at least for streets of rage! But yea... the likelihood of that is probably zero.

This still could be a nice thing to have.

Wouldn't it be totally sweet if we could get 200G in each of those?

Microsoft would never let it happen, but man, that'd be an achievement whore's wet dream.

I wonder how much this is going to cost Nintendo in lost VC sales.

That's pretty sweet, although I've pretty much got all those for my Sega. My collection is getting pretty sweet.

"I wonder how much this is going to cost Nintendo in lost VC sales."

Hopefully people will start to realize what a rip-off the VC is. Genesis games go for 800 Wii Points each.

So this collection would be a mere $320 on the VC!!

Foolish for anyone to buy VC games that are available in compilations elsewhere

It's the ones that aren't that are really good finds, even going at Nintendo's sometimes outrageous rates

This is what im talking about. $30 for 40 old titles all with 720p support.

Not the garbage they have going now, 1 title like sonic for $10 and not disc based so no price drops.

Im surprised we are getting this disc. I thought these things were a way of the past. There were plenty of them on xbox/ps2/gamecube but I figured with the virtual stores now open, they would never do these again. Glad im wrong. This works out to around 60ms points per game. Thats what im talking about. Maybe if they priced retro titles this low to begin with I might actually buy some.

I'd like to be completely excited about this, but I *stupidly* bought a couple of these games on VC - which probably totals the retail cost of this supposed ultimate collection.

Goddamnit. At least now I can free up space on the Wii. Not that I was using it anyway, but still... >_<

BTW, I know I'm going to buy it at some point, but I'll pay the reserve in full tomorrow if this game has online support... :d

Same. There is NO chance that I'd consider ever not going to excruciating lengths just so someone reads this sentence and thinks "WTF?".

But yea, confusing double negatives abound.

I'm definitely NOT going to avoid this package on launch day.

Revenge of Shinobi and Shadow Dancer are the only ones I'm interested in. Of course they're not on here, PSN, XBLA, Virtual Console, etc...

Agreed. Why Shadow Dancer didn't make the list but Dr. Robotnik's MBM did is a complete travesty.

Why no Wii version then? I personally don't want to get into the whole DLC trend, regardless of console. On the other hand I don't care for these games anyway. Now if I could get Bionic Commando Rearmed on a disc that'd be great.

God I hope they throw in Eternal Champions. Great stage based fatalities :P

Still hard to complain about $30 for 40 games though. They would all likely be $5 on XBLA, which would get you 6 games for the same price as getting all 40 in this collection.

^ 30 bucks for 40 games is a good deal (especially compared to the bullshit prices that VC sells at), but i'd rather pick out each one for 3-5 dollars. Plus, i'd rather not have to dick around with another disc if it's not necessary, and go through their cumbersome menus, intro screens and all that other crap. But I wouldn't be surprised if Sega is binded to a contract with Nintendo for digital distribution of genesis games.

What sega and sony/microsoft need to do is get together and release Saturn and Dreamcast classics, like the PSOne has. That would fucking rock.

I'm sure some people have no desire for 6 or more of those games, but it's still a great value for a lot of people. And if all 40 were on XBLA you likely be waiting a long, long time to buy those 3 you want. I'm sure part of the reason for doing a collection like this is to avoid all the extra hassles of making individual XBLA releases.

I would rather buy them individually from the online store. I'm tired of having to handle compilation game discs. Also, from the screens i've seen, it looks like they applied a 2xsal or eagle type filter. I hope they give the user some options to adjust them.
