Burn Zombie Burn! eating PSN next year

Burn Zombie Burn! is a new PSN game releasing early Q1 2009. From the looks of things, it appears to be another dual-analog shooter. But don't expect giant asteroids, bacteria, or aliens -- this one's all about zombies. You play Joe, an average dude looking to spend some "quality time" with his girlfriend Daisy. Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse when a zombie invasion takes over their quaint American town. Don't you HATE it when that happens???

Thankfully, Joe will have a wide assortment of tools to take care of the zombie menace. Fire builds up the multiplier, important if you wan to compete on the online leaderboards. The title appears to support 1080p visuals, and will also include PSN Trophy support. (List of Trophies here.) Check out the new trailer and screenshots here.

these top down shooters are getting tiresome and thats something coming from me i love the basic control gameplay.

Not me I say keep em comin! love these types of games.

This game reminds me of those boxy Flash games. Those games were pretty damn fun. They just need to go onto kongregate.com and just start grabbin some people that make flash games and help them publish on the PS3.

That Rocket Powered Hedgehog game was a lot of fun. I put like 10 hours onto Sonny. Hell even Dolphin Olympics can be a ton of fun. These games are being launched for free why not make some 5-10 dollar downloadable titles. It's easier to self publish on the PS3 but the start up process is brutal. If I was a successful company I'd be hiring people to make the next Flow, Every Day Shooter, Braid (which will be on PC and may or may not come to PS3) there's a TON of Gold out there. I might pick up this game.

Looks identical to Monster Madness: Grave Danger to me.
I'd like to see a Dead Rising type game on the PS3.

I also had enough of twin stick shooters after blast factor, super stardust and the rest, but it has been a while now and by early 2009 I'd be happy to give this a try assuming it's got 2 or 4 co-op play.

This looks instinctively good.

At a $9.99 price tag, or below, I will be picking this one up and sharing it with 4 of my friends :)

Is this only on PSN? Seems like it would be an awesome exclusive.

I love just about anything zombie-related, and I don't mind dual-stick shooters if they're done well, but...

Much like Monster Madness, this game is just too cartoony for me. I don't mind it for other games, but it just doesn't work for zombies.
