I dont think the critisizm of Nathan Hale is exactly fair...I mean your character in Dead Space has 0 personality as well and it was effective in that role.

I think its just the missing story you guys are having a problem with, because theres no story you cant imagine a character behind Nathan Hale.

R2 and Nathan Hale are just like any other FPS and their main character. Generic with a cool gimmick. Take Gears of War. It's kill.switch with chainsaws and co-op.

It's funny. People call things "Gears of War rip-offs" when Gears of War is pretty much a ripoff too.

Don't wash the Chow!

If you want to clean him/her, a better idea is to give them a "dry bath" with baby powder. It preserves the oil, and leaves them smelling fresh

I don't know what's scarier - the fact that the WRONG Guitar Hero: Search For More Money song list is in the big 3, or the election thread wasn't.

I really agree with you about Fable 2's ending Justin. While I didn't have a real big base emotional reaction, but I don't think I've ever thought so deeply about a games ending before. I beat it the friday after it came out, and I still find myself thinking about it, contemplating what it meant for my character, if the choices were mine to make and so much more.

Gotta disagree with Justin on Fable II's ending. It was very lackluster to me. I can't see how it is emotional as it seemed very cheesy to me the whole time.

I don't see the problem with R2's or LBP's online at all. I've never had a problem with them. I don't see how someone could make a hissy fit about them at all. They work just as fine as a 360 game.

Kool-aid? Fah. Graphics are graphics. The technology of graphics is meaningless unless you're using more technology to convey your experience. It works better for some games (Madden, military FPS's, driving sims) but is unnecessary for others. Lighting and sound matter more to a good survival horror title than anything else. Nail down those two, and poly count is meaningless.

It's the other way around, if anything. People have bought into the hype of eye candy

Which isn't to say technology is meaningless, but the onus on a good developer is to work with what they have to build the optimum experience

Hey Chris, I take your challenge and will guess that your ringtone is "Don't Cha" by the Pussycat Dolls.

in your pocket.

it means more federal spending.

the less government there is in all our lives the better. People seem to forget that government is a necessary evil.
