Agree... its not the game i imagined. It seems like everyone rushed to get a level online, MM should filter does levels...put another planet for MM aproved levels and another planet called "little big dumbster".

I by amazingly good you mean, will get you the trophies, or, shows off stuff then I suppose.

Good levels though, for playing with your friends, that even begin to approach the set in the game? I'm not seeing 'em.

There are a few Really good levels, so I don't know what game you are playing.

Also, just remember that it's only been out for a week in the US and just came out a few days ago everywhere else so if the user-created levels aren't wowing you yet, give it some time.

Jesus. Some people are so impatient.

LittleBigPlanet, and I wasn't expecting wow levels, just levels. No-one designed a level or had one on mind beforehand?

Pfft.

On the other hand, I am Jesus.

Can you recommend any, name names?

I know I'm being a pain and you might not remember names, but the most hearted ones ones all seem to be trophy collection.

The ones I played were original and some ideas, but were very much unplayable. Doubly so in Multiplayer.

Peter, here are some levels that are worth playing off the top of my head:
Azure Palace
Sackboy of Two (2+ players only)
Libidius
Cactuar War (not certain of the name of that one, search cactuar)
World of Colour

that's just off the top of my head, I have many more hearted that I would reccomend.

One level that really wowed me was a level called Libidius.jp. I did some googling and I actually found a YouTube walkthrough of the level. It's very ingenious and right now it's the most innovating level I've ever seen.

You got to think of the creation process almost in terms of a console software generations (but obviously accelerated).

Remember fact one, the game has been out in all regions of the world for less than a month. Fine, 2 months if you count the beta. The levels that are already out there are quite impressive (the other levels by the guy that did world of color, for instance, are pretty imaginative for such a small amount of time. Think of this as the launch game period.

Fast forward a few months as more and more people get their hands on the game (I am sure a good majority of North America might not even get their hands on the game until Christmas), and have had time to really hone their skills with the tools of level creating. You will start to see some really great ideas. This is the second wave of software. Where devs usually have a good handle on the system, but aren't quite sure how to max it out yet.

Lastly, the game has been out for about a year and the hardcore that have really stuck with it and the level creating process can now build a level with their eyes closed. THIS is when I believe you will see the unbelievable and truly amazing stuff. This is equal to typical third generation software and beyond. Where devs usually got a good handle on how to manipulate the systems capabilities.

Can't wait, honestly ^_^

Kylie, you rule! Add me on psn: Psycho_foxGamers have gotten use to hiding behind a wall and shooting at gangbangers or aliens. But what games like Dead Space or LBP do are forcing you to use your brain and not your trigger fingers. LBP has so many creative levels unlike your typical map editor game. Dead Space crams you into a room and tells you:"Guns..puh-leez! Strategic Dismemberment ftw"

Jak, sounds like you haven't been in the video game game very long, it's only in the last handful of years that 'trigger happy' games have really picked up console popularity. Even when FPSs where a PC only affair, they were played predomitary as a multiplayer experience, and multiplayer FPS is more about knowing the map and how it's played than an itchy trigger finger.. it does help of course, and there's no better feeling than winning a confrontation that you really shouldn't, based off your skill and reaction time alone.
wow that got off topic.

If the servers for LBP were up more frequently maybe I'd be able to agree or disagree about the amount of good user-created levels. But as of now, I've only gotten to play a handful of them.

For a game that places so much emphasis on the online component, had such a long beta period, and such a long development period, you'd think server issues would have been figured out long ago.

No developer can know what will happen to the servers when a game comes out. They cant give the final retail version to 500,000k people to test them. They have to wait and see what happens. Especially, for sony games because Sony doesnt have their own servers. Sony or the game developer would have to call and work it out that way which is hard to.

After playing the beta , i decided that it wasn't the game I had been led to believe it was going to be , I warned my mates not to buy it but the hype was too great . 2 of them have already returned it .

I'm working on a level right now that should be published in a couple of days if anyone is willing to look out for it and try it out.

It's called Under the Sea by Marama.

It may not be amazing but I think it will have some good points that many other levels I've played are lacking. I established a simple little story and decorated my level to make it as though you're under the sea! If you play it, please leave a comment!
