BIG Fable 2 announcement coming next week

In an effort to steal our gaming attention, Lionhead just posted a new blog teasing that next week will bring a BIG Fable 2 announcement.

"I dare say it's a big announcement regarding Fable II, next week!" says the teasing blog, which can only logically be referring to one thing ... Fable 2 DLC. That's if logic holds true. It's either DLC or some sort of big announcement telling us that they'll be releasing a game patch that'll make those Pub Games cheaters' copies of Fable 2 start on fire the next time the game is loaded. Wouldn't that be fun?

Co-op fix, PLEAAAAAAAAAAASE

DLC isn't a big announcement at least not IMO.

A big announcement would be an expansion pack. Nude patch, or Hot Coffee patch.

Something shocking like that. DLC is kinda regular or common enough to not be shocking

the co-op was a bit rubbish.. Fable2 is a one player experience.. player 2 is the third wheel on a date...

I agree. Though I LOVE this game. I find the ability to play co-op with friend less than complete. Main reason is superficial but important. Why can't you import your current character in the game? This generic character makes you not care.

I hope it's a patch that will make my game playable again. I can't use the "A" button due to the "Rescue Charlie" glitch. It's a common problem for a lot of people.

Expansion Pack announcement would make me smile...

Funny, I was going put mine up on the bay today. Grrr. Now I have to wait. Maybe they will fix the BS fact that you can only open the chest once. As for DLC, meh. I'm unimpressed if that's all. How about being able to save my character so I can start a new game and not lose this one.

You can. Start a new game and it will actually auto-save in a different 'slot' (up to a mix of six I think) so that's 6 different characters.

Next time you load a game, you will be given a choice of 1 of 6 slots/characters to choose from.

I have my good guy with story finished on one save and my evil bloke about half way through the story on my second slot.

They're finally sending out the CE DLC codes? No wait, that would be too good to be true...

I know eh? I've been waiting forever for mine and I still haven't gotten it. It's way past the week or whatever they said it would take.

That'd be weird... since you can just download it for free off the Marketplace (the language pack has the CE content, if you aren't aware).

I'm excited for whatever this announcement is though, as this has been my most played game by far this month!

Eh? They've been sending them out since release. Everyone has got theirs by now. I think they're going to announce a free DLC or something.

I was good and sacrificed my dog for the good of mankind...hopefully they will add in the ability for me to get a new dog so I can go find more treasures!

Man loves dog, man and dog are best pals, something happens to one of them and it's not man suffering dodgy bowel movements.

What ever they announce I hope it's a soon to happen and not a coming in 2010 type thing.

Whats up with all these companies sending announcements saying that an announcement is coming...... Pretty soon it's going to be an announcement of when the announcement of the real announcement will be made.

For me, it is too little too late. I've finished it and already traded in my copy. This is the first game I have ever truly been disappointed by, and my personal gaming history includes Daggerfall.

I do hope whatever is announced adds something wonderful to the game, and makes it more like what it was promised to be.

You were disappointed by Daggerfall? Seriously? It was a wonderful game for its time; my all-time favorite Elder Scrolls game after Oblivion.

Haohmaru, my comment meant that even Daggerfall with all its bugs didn't disappoint me the way Fable 2 has.

I guess I'm just picky about what I spend my time playing. Or maybe I was disappointed because I believed Fable 2 would actually deliver on its hype. I kept hoping there was more to it.

All I want out of Fable 2 is a complete co-op experience. What they have now is a half-assed attempt and it needs to be fixed.

1) Put in a free-moving camera
2) Ability to use your character, not some template
3) Expand the range drastically for free-roam in co-op. It's way too restrictive right now.
4) Stop pausing my game when the host pauses or is buying something

New content would be great but...I'm still waiting on my piss poor excuse for LE content codes! COME ON ALREADY!

Omg, i hope its the patch for if ur stuck at the abbots quest, I had to start a new game, beat that, cuz well, i was tired of doing nothing.

its probably related to the new NXE. Maybe the ability to import your character? clothes? hmmmm...

Horse armor?

Definetly it, I've alway wanted Horse armor in Fable! Not got much use for it maybe I can put it on my dog and ride around on it.

Its only a big announcement if it means its going to extend the story another 10+ hours... That game was WAY to short and I'm a little disappointed in how it ended.

Same here. I don't want to sell it yet, so gimme something good to keep it.

Heres hoping the DLC isn't an on-disc content unlocker for points.
