Disabled gamer mods controller, wins at life
We consider it a hardship when we have to reach behind our entertainment center every sixth months to plug in the Wii, but PlayStation boards user KitsuneYume is someone who's really willing to put in the extra effort. The disabled gamer designed and made a controller that uses not only his feet and fingers for input, but his tongue.
So, the next time you hear someone complain about games these days being too complicated, we want you to show them this post, punch them in the mouth and tell them to grow a pair.

heil68@mac.com @ Nov 11th 2008 6:05PM

Cesaria (GT: Cesaria360; PSN: Cesaria) @ Nov 11th 2008 6:07PM
FIRST!......to call you a douche!
aneternalenigma @ Nov 11th 2008 9:07PM
If you're going to be a fuckface and do your FIRST!!!111 nonsense, you should make sure you're actually first.
Haggard @ Nov 11th 2008 6:09PM
That's awesome!
Erik Stroud @ Nov 11th 2008 8:24PM
I agree. But, I think a game controlled by your butt muscles would be awesome also.
Titanium_Orchid @ Nov 11th 2008 11:40PM
you would probably enjoy this game then

whookid @ Nov 11th 2008 6:11PM
Still amazes me how ignorant some people are. 4 comments after the post on the playstation board you get this guy:
"dumb.. why go through all the trouble when you can just jump on your couch and play good ol ps3 with a good ol normal ps3 controller.. ah, so relaxing and quick to do.."
(Insert Facepalm Here)
deaftly @ Nov 11th 2008 6:59PM
you must be new to a playstation forum......
*runs*
The Fatass of Kickassness @ Nov 11th 2008 7:18PM
You don't know the half of it. That dude apologized. There were about fifteen more posts, just like his, except blatant. Before the mods got to the thread, anyway.
NERV @ Nov 11th 2008 6:14PM
I'd save the "douche" for the first guy who asks" but can he play crysis!"
Poor dude, I couldn't pull that off
Haggard @ Nov 11th 2008 6:17PM
The only thing you *really* need to play Crysis is the cloak button.
Mr Khan @ Nov 11th 2008 6:20PM
But if you haven't turned your wii on in 6 months, you haven't played Wario Land, and you didn't experience the proper version of Megaman 9
eh, such is life i suppose
Spirit @ Nov 11th 2008 6:37PM
I don't want to get started on the games you've been missing in the past 6 months...
Mr Khan @ Nov 11th 2008 7:11PM
Fair enough.
I was compelled to say that, though. It counts as a cheap shot since it's an unrelated article
reign-♥-of-♥-love @ Nov 11th 2008 6:22PM
i would rather look for my remote for 10 minutes straight than turn my tv on by hand. just 'cause i dont have to get up to feel underneath the couch.
this guy makes me look like a douche-nozzle.
Anthony M @ Nov 11th 2008 6:34PM
This kid is amazing , truly. I would be a complete failure as a cripple..heck I am one now as a non crippled adult.
Doug @ Nov 11th 2008 7:07PM
Don't be so hard on yourself. You just need to dream. :D
Mat @ Nov 11th 2008 7:26PM
Yeah Anthony, we're here for you ;)
WRE @ Nov 11th 2008 8:27PM
Are you guys thinking what I'm thinking? THREESOME!!!
The True Gamer @ Nov 11th 2008 9:40PM
Cripple is not an approved PC term, douche nozzle.
jumpshot @ Nov 12th 2008 12:41PM
Nor is douch-nozzle, fyi

ClarkyCat @ Nov 11th 2008 7:42PM
All of these *runs* are pretty insensitive considering it's a post about a disabled guy.

Please grammar check your blog post. It's difficult to read.
Jesterdom @ Nov 12th 2008 1:20PM
Heil, it's the grammar nazi!
Hide Anne Frank.
KingTorres @ Nov 11th 2008 7:55PM
I really hope you're being sarcastic, as I think they're making a joke about the whole tongue-input thing. If not I have read too much into this and Justin was just very tired.
Lekko @ Nov 11th 2008 9:16PM
Is that the grudge coming out of his wall?
WiNG [Life in a Game] @ Nov 11th 2008 9:43PM
Sure, I could be not lazy and read the post, or I could ask this:
If he's so crippled, how did he pull off these crazy hax?
Schuey19 @ Nov 11th 2008 9:58PM
So a disabled person goes through all this trouble to continue to enjoy the things he likes, in an effort to lead a "normal" life.
Able bodied person can't be arsed to take the time to read the story.
Kinda says a lot don't you think?
Oh well ;)
Riley @ Nov 11th 2008 10:21PM
he didn't do it by himself
MrSpaceCowboy @ Nov 11th 2008 10:28PM
Is he a Pinball Wizard?
Nyroska @ Nov 11th 2008 10:50PM
My sister was in a children's hospital for a few months and there were a ton of disabled children there. One of them was a girl, probably no older than 12 who had no arms. She played Mario Cart 64 with her feet and kicked my ass every time.
Phylicus @ Nov 11th 2008 11:43PM
This gives me hope. I have this unnatural fear of losing my fingers, or hands, and being unable to play video games for the rest of my life.
I wake up in cold sweats some nights.
samfish @ Nov 11th 2008 11:53PM
This is easily the most awesome thing I'll likely see for the rest of the year.
Misfit Toy @ Nov 12th 2008 12:41AM
That is good to hear that there is hope if you're crippled.
One question though...where is the screen? What is he looking at?
ThornedVenom (Harley Quinn Defense Force) @ Nov 12th 2008 1:37AM
His love for videogames is inspiring.
sinai @ Nov 12th 2008 2:32AM
OK, I'm gonna be the one to say it, you're all thinking it...
the picture looks like something you make a stupid 4chan-like motivation picture out of
geekinabox @ Nov 12th 2008 7:21AM
Waiting for a disabled 360 fanboy to rant and rave how his modded controller scheme kicks this PS3 one's ass ...
Seriously though, *very* inspiring -- game on!
bluecrayon @ Nov 12th 2008 9:10AM
I'd like to see him play the iphone, I guess he'd shove the whole phone in the mouth.
---
Awesome to see someone so determined to play games, I wonder what games he would like to design if he could. Slobber Wars?
WorMzy @ Nov 12th 2008 12:36PM
A pair of what..?
C'mon Joystiq, don't leave us hanging. D':
