I ink stamped my penis with the name Wii. Your product sullies my penis' good name. I have more inches than your Wii's library has good games. I demand you rename your product.

I got a question. If you have a Wii Speak channel on your Wii and have Wii Speak as part of your Wii internet browser all tied into your friends list don't you basically have some level of Wii Speak in every single piece of Wifi enhanced software ever released on the system?
I don't need the "Regginator" to figure this one out. I love Reggie's passion for video games. I don't think it's a "pitch"I really think he is indeed one of us. If he's a liar he's the best there is. He just seems to get all goofy and happy when he talks to "us" about a great new DS game or Wii game I used to work at a plastic factory does that mean I can't love music?

How does Nintendo think they can get away with telling us what is a hardcore game? If you look at Nintendo's definition of hardcore gaming compared to that of say Microsoft or Sony I think we'd find they're pretty different.
Animal Crossing is not hardcore - its not casual either but I don't think they should be able to get away with telling us that hardcore gamers should like it because it falls into their definition of 'hardcore' For some part, I don't even think Mario classes as a hardcore game either.
Nintendo needs to stop keep downplaying the role of hardcore gamers. While it was an awesome game, Metroid Prime 3 I feel was severely under-hyped. This proves how much care Nintendo has for a hardcore audience. This game would have done so much better if Nintendo had of put the same sort of effort in to marketing it as Wii Sports, Wii Fit and the rest of that casual crap. But they didn't. They believe that hardcore gamers are not worth the marketing to.
Even Sony's LittleBig Planet is more hardcore than anything Nintendo has released recently. I can say with confidence too, that Disaster will be crap; namely because it wouldn't have had the same amount of effort as other games they've made put into it. Nintendo knows it and deep down, I think everyone else knows it.
I could go on, but meh.
My 2 cents.... and not a question either... I think

Xoviet, you're exactly, wrong. Nintendo isn't getting ready, this isn't the past. Nintendo is leading the pack. They're winning. Sony offers players a free blu ray drive for buying their console and really all it's doing is collecting dust, not on entertainment centers in people homes but on store shelves unbought. Microsoft, jeezus christ Microsoft probably should be in first, lot of hi qualiy software, very pretty pictures on the old HD dick but they're are f'ing dying in Japan and if you wanna play w/ the big boys you got to play in Japan it was true in 85 believe me it's true today. Don't think I didn't notice you not comment on my little Wii Speak Q and A. You do know that Wii Speak will be incorporated into the Wii browser right? I don't really think you knew that. Did you? Truthfully...
Anyways... Friend Codes are a FREE INTERNET PASS where I come from. You're paying fifty bucks plus just too look at the god damn menu. Chow.
P.S. Next time you play a 360 game, next time you play a PS3 game I beg of you look at what you're holding in your hands. To people like you and I? Peanut butter and Jelly on a Saturday afternoon to the rest of the world it's a cinder block of undiscovery Nintendo's real REVOLUTION wasn't a machine it was the wrecking ball I'm holding in my hand right now. Now I shall offer you my hand and my heart...

The wrecking ball is the friggin' Wii remote I'm typing with. The playpen is Xbox Live(which can be like a nursery school). Friend Codes are Nintendo giving us a choice w/ who we want to communicate with. When you play a game on 360 and PS3 it's the same damn controller we gamers take it for granted but to the outside world a video game controller is like a UFO. Nintendo changed all of this w/ the Wii Remote. Sorry... I was trying to offer my hand and heart in friendship. Anyway Earthbound?

The Wii-motion plus represents a potentially great resolution to the less than desirable motion sensing capabilities of the Wii-mote. Do you feel the device will face the same pitfalls of say a Sega CD add-on or an 360 game that requires a drive? The "pitfalls" being that 2nd and 3rd party developers won't tailor a game around the device as the user-base for that periphial is smaller, thus limiting the potential sales.

Do you feel disheartened that most of the comments and questions here dislike the way the company is moving and are clamoring for the Nintendo of old?

Is there a good reason we couldn't have Mother 3 hit the Wii or DSi Virtual Console? It'd prevent a lot of distribution trouble and give the fans what they want. I realize the game has some rather over-the-top content, but just volunteer it for a M Rating. No one will question it then.
Also, will the Wii ever be opened up for running content directly off the memory card?

When are you going to stop being an apologist for Nintendo and its recent poor treatment of the "core" gamer community?
Why doesn't Nintendo of America localize the Mother series? Too scared to have your reputation of being a children friendly company scarred in America?
Why does Nintendo treat its third party publishers like crap? (See Wii Motion Plus and Star Wars etc.) Will Nintendo be picking up the slack for the lack of games due to the absence of an abundance of good third party titles?
When will the Nintendo Seal of Quality return so that all this shovelware garbage will disappear finally?

Why are you still milking Mario, a character from a game you released in 1983? Don't you find it ironic that you have the most innovate console with the least innovative games? When will you stop rehashing Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, et al. and give us a new game? Hell, I'd settle for a new title character.
The blame for this really falls on consumers for buying the same 5 games for every new Nintendo console, so in a way you're only giving them what they want. Still, don't you see those huge, epic games all on other consoles and feel like you're serving the least common denominator of gamers?

Ok, first of all Reggie you are amazing and thank you for taking the time to answer my question!
What I want to know is that you say you are serious about online gaming but are we ever going to see a system that is more user friendly than friend codes? I personally find them as annoying to enter as really long passwords back in the day. We also have to enter them for every friend and every game we want to play with that friend. Are you ever going to fix this?
Thanks

Why don't you release Mother 3 for North America? Would you rather your fans who want to pay you for this game pirate a ROM and use the Fan Translation?
And why has it taken so long for Earthbound to hit the VC?

Pardon me for not seeing if this has been asked, but when that storage solution involving the SD card slot comes, will we be able to play our Wii Shop downloads off of SD cards? Also, since the bump from SD to SDHC is entirely software based, and since the DSi uses SDHC (meaning, licensing fees are already paid), will the Wii ever support SDHC?

Why not invest more in localization? I understand that Fatal Frame IV, Mother 3, Disaster, et. al, aren't going to sell well. However, import-focused companies like Atlus or XSeed make a living (profit) off of such low profile titles. Certainly you could profit off of such as well

Why is the SD card solution that is coming not a solution?? You should be able to download and run VC/WiiWare games from internal or SD memory WITHOU swapping! Being able to download direct to SD is only handy, you still have to swap! Please solution this properly, so I have access to all the memory internal/external and run games from both. I have invested a great deal of money in your games and I can't play them without waiting eons to swap them on and off SD!!

I want to know when is your company going to start producing better games, than those crappy ones? Please, if you were successful with making Nintendo DS games, then make some awesome games for the Nintendo Wii. Soon or later, the Wii will be left in the dust.

Will the DSi have better graphics? (i think not) So:
Why doesn't the DSi have better graphics capabilities? It's such a divergence from previous DS models, it would have been the perfect opportunity to make improvements to the internal hardware.
Also, how do you plan to compete withe the iPod, when they are completely PWNing you (graphics wise)

Here's a question/rant: Why is it that you think the "hardcore gamer" just wants a new Mario, Zelda, or Smash Brothers, as you suggested in previous interviews? Those are all well and good, but you know what the hardcore gamer wants? Captain Rainbow. The hardcore gamer wants the game they've never heard of that utilizes the Wii for new but DEEP gameplay mechanisms. Not shallow mechanisms meant to pander to nongamers, as in Wii Sports and Wii Music. No, instead, we want fundamentally original mechanics, such as in Zak & Wiki; or even if unoriginal, at least extremely deeply thought-through mechanics, such as Metroid Prime 3.
Isn't really a question, but someone has to tell Reggie, because frankly at this point he (and all of Nintendo, it seems) assumes that there are "casual/family" gamers who want Wii Fit and Wii Sports and Wii Music, and there are "hardcore" gamers who want the new Mario, Zelda, and Smash Brothers.
It's a fundamental misunderstanding of why all of us who bought the Wii are feeling jilted now. It isn't because we expect a new Mario Galaxy every 6 months. It's because we expected at least Nintendo to step outside of the norm and give us something different AND something deeper than the novelty uses in Nintendo's "family/casual" line of games. We bought the Wii on faith that Nintendo understood us, after becoming cynical with the endless cycle of stupid remakes and sequels and same-as-last-time gameplay.
The fact that Nintendo now thinks the "hardcore" audience just wants sequels to core franchises is an admission that they do not understand us, and is more than a little alienating for those us of who bought the Wii on Day One with the promise of new gameplay, and instead have gotten...Wii Music.
