The Duke plus a SNES-style D-pad would be a perfect controller. The 360 controller is painfully small, as I find my hands numbing after holding the triggers in for extended periods (driving laps around Liberty City, for instance).

My fingers have gone numb from the 360 controller as well. But, for me, it happens more often when using a guitar controller. I'm just glad to hear that someone else has experienced this. Dead digits ftw...

Behind the Xbox 360 controller S, the Duke is the best game controller for my hands. I loved how they set it up, especially the ABXY buttons as they were all lined up so I didn't have to move my thumb to press them.

Its just a pity that their analogue sticks stopped functioning properly so I had to buy a controller S =(

I had the opposite problem. The A button stopped working, so I was forced to buy the S controller.

My fondest memory from the first Xbox would have to be the countless hours of just hanging out with friends in Midtown Madness 3.

Second would have to be the day a rummer a friend and I started about another friend became so well attached to a friends gamertag that random people would ask about the dog incident when they saw him in a game.

Every 2 weeks holding a 16 player lan tournament for Halo... for 2 years straight. Hauling 4 tvs, xbox's, 16 controllers and making some lasagna to feed everyone.

That and some Soul Calibur 2 that got involved... an amazing 2 years.

I still remember the weird but cool smell of the original Xbox... Yup, those were the days... I used to have a blast playing original Xbox games. And I never had any problems with the thing, Too bad I wasn't into live at the time, I used some weird service for free that did the same thing on Xbox, my friend set it up for me. But yeah, the Xbox was awesome for it's time, and I love my 360. Here's to an even better Xbox next time around MS! (and no RROD Plz)

One thing The Duke got right that Controller S didn't was the placement of the black & white buttons. On The Duke, they extended the ABXY button grid to 3x2, a familiar configuration to anyone who's played Street Fighter II. On Controller S, it was more like 'oh crap, we forgot we had two more buttons'!

I liked the big controller it was more egroomic as compared to new kinds. you can use the big controllers for a long time and feel little strain on your hands.

I would have to say that my favorite Xbox moment is loading up XBMC on my modded Xbox in 720p on my HDTV, controlling it with my Logitech Harmony remote, loading up a playlist of hardcore porn on my fileserver, and tapping my wife over and over.
