Before the ink is even dry on its digital tattoos, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand developer Swordfish has been sold to MMO middleware developer Monumental. Don't expect to see the G-Unit team headed to the UK for a visit anytime soon though: Work on Mr. Cent's new game is apparently done, with its release being solely an issue of timing at this point.
Ironically, though Blood On the Sand seemed poised to really get the Swordfish name out there, that name has just been changed. You'll be calling them Monumental Manchester when they start on their next project.

I wonder why more gangstas don't sign up for the military?

They do. Then return to the U.S. with those tactics and kill cops.

Get your facts straight Joystiq. Swordfish Studios have 2 offices, Manchester and Birmingham. The Manchester team are responsible for World In Conflict: Soviet Assault on Xbox 360 and PS3 (yet to be released). Birmingham are the 50 Cent team. Check the pending article here regarding their acquisition; http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/swordfish-birmingham-acquisition-expected-this-week

I wonder if the death animations are really well done... if so... I might have to rent this one... to see 50 die over and over again.
Just because I'll suck at it. That's all. Has nothing to do with being a sick bastard that wants to see someone that he doesn't know personally but hates the 'music' and everything he creates die repeatedly.

brickwalker, I think you mean that it closely resembles it, but pales in comparison.

If they paid more than $1.25 they got robbed. That franchise was absolutely terrible, and it represented the worst cash-in on a successful franchise. I blame San Andreas for giving us crap like that and 25 to Life.
