PSA: Persona 2 reprint exclusively on Amazon

While the prospect of ever seeing an official, localized release of Persona 2: Innocent Sin remains bleak, those who missed the second chapter, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, when it was first released on PlayStation (yes, PS1) eight years ago, now have a second, albeit seriously limited chance to score a copy of the reprint. Bet you never thought you'd be buying a brand new (and full-priced!) PS1 game again, did you?

To commemorate the December 9th release of Persona 4, Atlus has announced an "ultra limited" reprint of Persona 2, including a bonus disc featuring the trailer and a video interview with the developers, to be sold exclusively through Amazon.com and Amazon.ca.

When, you ask? ~~Right now!~~ Sold out!

I think it has something to do with Atlus' Faithful account thing. I noticed with the P4 super special awesome preorder that it wasn't listed on Amazon if you search for it, but if you clicked the link in the email Atlus sent you, it would lead to the Amazon page.

I was lucky enough to stumble across this right as it went on sale. I'm glad I didnt waste any time in pulling the trigger on it.

I got lucky. I recieved the "This item is no longer available" message, tried again 10 minutes later and CLICK! Item ordered. Maybe someone cancelled at that minute or Amazon added more to stock? I would suggest to keep trying.

Of course knowing my luck, I would probably get a message in a couple of days in my e-mail "We are sorry but this item is no longer available, we have cancelled your order.".

This isn't the first time it's been reprinted. About a year or two ago a limited run was produced and it was easily purchasable for on eBay for two or three weeks. I think I only paid $30 for it.

Persona 2 is the best PS game I've ever played. Played it many times, and I wanna play it again.

the story in Sin is better IMO, and Punishment is more difficult for the system gets more complicated.

Kaneko's artwork is really beautiful and creepy, that's why I'm not that into P3 and P4, cause Kaneko is no longer the art designer in those two games.
