Way back when Grand Theft Auto IV launched in April, Rockstar hosted a contest to award keys to the city to the most dedicated players, specifically those who could reach a 100% completion rating. It looks like Rockstar is finally shipping out those fabulous keys, and X3F tipster Joe F. was kind enough to send us pictures of his personal key to Liberty City. Check out the gallery below and covet what you cannot have (unless you managed to snag one yourself, of course).

Did getting 100% do anything in game? Did it unlock anything or just for saying you did it?

I knew that. I mean, for example, now you have access to blank area or blank weapon or something novel like that, more than just an achievement.

As far as I know (and I have completed it 100% btw), you get nothing other than the ammo limits removed. i.e you can buy or pick up as much ammo as you want - but even then, it will reset to the default maximum limits when you reload the game. Some people have mentioned an Annihilator with rockets, either for getting all 200 flying rats, or for completing to 100%, depending on who you ask, which spawns either on top of the getalife building, or on top of that building in Star Junction, or at the airport (in place of the regular Annihilators), again, depending on who you ask. It's never there in any of those places for me though.

Yeah, I completed the game 100%, but Rockstar didn't award me a key. I sent 2 emails to them asking for a reason as to why, and they refused to even respond to my emails. They have some awesome customer service, let me tell ya.

I was one of the people to complete it in the first seven days, and way before they ran out of keys. Unfortunetly Im not American, so they dont give me a key. That blows cause seeing as its selling for $200+ on ebay, playing the game for 20 hours which i did would of been an easy couple days of work :(

I finished it 100% on the deadline but never got a key. They told me I wasn't on their list. It's all because their crap servers didn't update the list properly. Yeah, screw you too R*

I have beaten the game (100%) in less than 2 weeks, but the **** Rockstar's servers were busy (full of course) at this time, and they say that I have earn my 100% two days later. False, my gamertag can prove it. But I still don't have my key.
89 hours of gameplay for... a PDF card. Yipee !
Thanks Rockstar for this amazing game, but no thanks for my key. GIVE ME MY KEY, COUSIN !
(sorry for my bad english, dudes. French powa)
