PSN Thursday: Answer the Age of Booty call
Age of Booty, Capcom's plundering pirates RTS/board game, docks on the PS3 this week as part of the weekly update. Besides that, it's relatively quiet, with some DLC for LittleBigPlanet and Need for Speed: Undercover washing up on the PSN shore. Our treasure map indicates the full North American update is listed after the break.
PS3 Fanboy has the European PSN update, which lacks Booty, but still has plenty of junk in the trunk.

Finally, we PSP owners get something other than the usual videos/wallpapers/etc. Oh wait, it's only a demo...
I don't really have the money to buy full PSP game UMDs at the moment, and even if I did, the slew of 360 titles coming out/already out are higher on my list. I'm hoping for some actual downloadable titles since the PSN is such a touted feature of the PSP. I'm only hanging onto this thing for Kingdom Hearts, anyways, but it'd be nice to have some more budget titles to play...
j.howlett @ Nov 13th 2008 6:25PM
got my free costume. that need for speed stuff can be unlocked by playing
Dan CiTi @ Nov 13th 2008 10:23PM
Yeah it actually says that in the description on left side of the screen when you hover over it. It's nice.
Titanium_Orchid @ Nov 13th 2008 6:27PM
hah, the FIFA commentary is a nice use of DLC
Brett from Atlanta @ Nov 13th 2008 6:42PM
Downloading the FREE LBP costume. Everyone on here, DONT BUY THE CHARGED LBP COSTUMES. Resist the temptation and let's show Sony how bullshit these micro transactions are. /rant
Taco_Hell @ Nov 13th 2008 6:48PM
What I find funny about that is if ONE person buys those costumes, they can share it with everyone else by making the costume things you get if you beat their level.
TheBrainninja @ Nov 13th 2008 7:06PM
@Taco_Hell: Pretty sure you can't do that...I think you can only give objects you make as prizes. If that's not the case, people fail for not making the preorder-exclusive costumes available as prizes.
Lars @ Nov 13th 2008 7:59PM
You can only give them as prizes if they aren't locked. Just like when you create items you can set the value for "shareable", so when people win said item, they can't give it away. That's what I always do. You gotta work for my prizes, biatch.
Oh and I am buying some of the costumes. Why would you buy DLC for other games but when it comes to a great game like LBP you suddenly say "boycott!!"? I love what they've done and want to show my support, therefore I'm buying the couple costumes that I like.
Taco_Hell @ Nov 13th 2008 8:07PM
Damn it, so I've been proven wrong yet again! Anyhow, Lars the reason why Brett and I are sorta pissed it's because they're charging you a buck for a costume, which is a bid ludicrous. What they should have done is put all of those costumes in one pack and sell it for 5 bucks as opposed to each costume costing a dollar because right now, it's just another horse armor: over-priced costumes that really add nothing to the game.
Dan CiTi @ Nov 13th 2008 10:24PM
You can share the costumes, but not that way Taco Hell.
Sackolantern PSN ID: johnnynumber5 @ Nov 13th 2008 10:27PM
Taco hell
You fail again. They do have a costume pack on there that gives you a discount for all the costumes.
Taco_Hell @ Nov 13th 2008 11:23PM
Actually Sacko, the bundle they have are completely different suits than the ones they are selling singularly. Hell, look at the MotorStorm one, 2 bucks for a sack boy suit, I know the game is fun and all but who the hell in their right mind would sell a sack boy costume for 2 dollars?
Taco_Hell @ Nov 13th 2008 11:26PM
Correction: I'm moron, and Sacko is right about the bundle. I just looked at the names and never thought that lily-pad = animal. But point still stands about the motorstorm one!
Brett from Atlanta @ Nov 14th 2008 2:48AM
I just think it's dumb how overpriced these costumes are. For the five dollars I spend on costumes that are fun, but in reality really add nothing to the game, I can GO BUY A PSN GAME! You gotta up your game Sony. Maybe make a bitching level I could buy for a buck and have the costume as a prize for that level, just give me something reasonable for the price. Please Sony, help make this the fantastic Utopian wont screw you over kind of game that represents the platform and the company as a whole. Don't go down the micro transaction road, it's a slippery slope.
Hoffer @ Nov 13th 2008 6:43PM
Don't even need to turn my PS3 on this week. I see nothing worth downloading.
marcandrer @ Nov 13th 2008 7:05PM
so you bought a PS3 for the PSN titles ?
go buy Resistance 2 and play ! :)
Lars @ Nov 13th 2008 8:00PM
Or Fallout, or Mirror's Edge, or LBP, and so on...
Hoffer @ Nov 13th 2008 8:35PM
I just meant I didn't need to turn it on this week to download anything. Kind of a Thursday night thing. Nothing to download this week.
I've got Resistance 2 and LBP.
jeffffff @ Nov 13th 2008 6:45PM
NFS Undercover is not even out yet and there is DLc. Didnt might and magic get its own story for the same thing.
Chase @ Nov 13th 2008 8:15PM
That redhead has big knockers. I approve.
Sackolantern PSN ID: johnnynumber5 @ Nov 13th 2008 10:30PM
Those things look crazy. More like a couple of perfectly round softballs than "knockers".
GearSecond!! (Gamertag: xGearSecondx ) @ Nov 13th 2008 11:35PM
Red-heads with big chests and lips FTFW!!
Courtney @ Nov 14th 2008 2:37AM
I've had a surprisingly good time with Age of Booty.
Diskoboy @ Nov 14th 2008 4:42PM
I already answered the call on my 360.
Fun game. But WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too short. I beat the entire game in about 2 hours.
