Criterion driving Toy Cars into Burnout Paradise

Cool? Sure, it is. But is it cool on the level with a time-travelling relic of the 80s? Well, no. That's why (you guessed it) you've always got to close with the DeLorean.

is it back to free?? or is that part of the pay pack... *sad face*
Miles @ Nov 14th 2008 6:46PM
I figure you're just asking for the hell of it. But do you really have to signal a sad face when it comes to paying money? I think gamers are the cheapest consumers in the country. Maybe because so many are children.

Criterion is doing their best to support this game instead of taking the easy way out and just make another sequel. The least you can do is support them.

lol Miles, i dont value games at 60 dollars. therefore i expect all DLC to be free when I do pay 60 dolllars. you don't. therefore you will pay for it. those willing to pay the most will get it before those that will not. simple economics, no reason to call gamers "cheap" ^_^
Miles @ Nov 14th 2008 8:56PM
I understand all DLC isn't worth it, Rumble Roses for 360 stunk. But come on, Burnout has given us two huge packs that each would've been worth cash. Its not that I value 60 games, but its that gamers value nothing.
I don't know of anything besides RB music packs that people think is a fair price. Even then, they bitch that its higher than a song from iTunes. Whatever, I"m a gamer and former EB Games employee, so I probably saw more cheapness than most.

"i dont value games at 60 dollars. "
Then that's being cheap. It's called being too cheap for an expensive hobby.

I, for one, am excited to go crashing Wario's ride in Burnout.

And an Excite Truck, nonetheless
Anticrawl @ Nov 14th 2008 8:44PM
And here I was hoping for really tiny cars that could be run over by bigger vehicles and whatnot. Driving under cars would have been awesome.

Love the game,Can't wait for dlc,but was hoping criterion could make street lights a little brighter at night, Can't find my way out of certian area's. Also would like custom music, If Possable.
macgyver @ Nov 17th 2008 9:46AM
custom soundtracks are available in both the 360 and PS3 versions of the game. so unless you're playing the Super Nintendo port, you have custom music.

Does anyone know which update will have the retry option? I know I heard them mentioning it, somewhere. I only rented paradise but I sure as hell would buy it if they added retry.
Ringo @ Nov 15th 2008 7:27AM
Lewis Hamilton FTW! I may have to actually purchase this game.
Danny @ Nov 15th 2008 10:10AM
Actually, that's Heikki Kovaleinen, which is a bizarre decision on Criterion's behalf.
donmcthrill @ Nov 15th 2008 9:47PM
I dont thin any of you are thinking about the scale of these cars. That is where the fun will be, ei life size
