Got my hands on what appeared to be a final build of Prince of Persia at the eGames Expo in Melbourne today. Got to play through the first 30 minutes of the game on a 360 debug unit, and now I can't wait to pick it up.

The prince is roguishly charming. Think of Nathan Drake from Uncharted, and you're pretty close. The combat felt a little bit too complicated, but it was always manageable. The character models and environments look amazing. There appeared to be a fair bit of aliasing along all the bold edges though.

This is now a must-buy for me. The little teaser from today has got me wanting more.

Played it on LGF. Awesome Game. Seriously recommend it to anyone who loved the first trilogy as this one perfectly continues the tradition.

The platforming seemed even smoother than in Sands, in fact.

Wow can't wait! I have loved all the PoPs, yes, even Warrior Within. A "strange" soundtrack aside, it was a solid game.

The gameplay and graphics sound and look great, but what about the WRITING and the STYLE?

Sands of Time was light years ahead of the other prince of persia games, mostly because it had intelligence and heart.

WW had better combat, and some great level design... but it's style was in many ways horrendous.

Two Thrones tried its best to be SoT, (and technically it was ahead of it and should have been better) but it couldn't match the depth and style of the first one.. it came off more as something TRYING to have heart and clever characters, rather than something that HAD heart and clever characters.

SoT was that rare game that had believeable characters, possibly the best characterisation of any game ever, and a realistic yet believeable female sidekick.
(yet in TT the same character was reduced to a stereotypical sidekick... trying to be believeable and sassy.. but it wasn't natural. )

I really hope this game HAS the magic of Sands of Time, rather than just tries to pretend it has.

Just finished it! I'm pretty sure I didn't get the special ending so I'm gonna go play it again and again and again and...well you get the idea. Happy gaming douche monkeys.
