Oh, and in case you're wondering, the song featured in the trailer is "Breathe Me" by Sia.
Prince of Persia story trailer lays it on thick
13
A new trailer for the upcoming refresh of the Prince of Persia series has been released, and it's a doozy. Clocking in at nearly five and a half minutes, it pretty much covers everything you need to know about the game. An ancient evil god wreaked havoc on the world, said god was imprisoned in the Tree of Life with a warrior tribe sworn to watch over it for all time. Fast forward 10,000 years and the evil god escapes, presumably because the warrior tribe fell asleep at the switch. Thankfully, the Prince is here to help the last Princess of the warrior tribe put the evil god to rest once more. The trailer has a bit of a Zelda feel to it, which is by no means a bad thing. Find it after the break.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, the song featured in the trailer is "Breathe Me" by Sia.

That's what makes the trailers/intro's epic tho. Seems a lot of games have it now. Like GOW2, it was awesome!!

I have always loved the Prince of Persia series however it's going to take me sometime to get used to this cell shading after he was so tough looking in the last one.

Think of it more like moving concept art instead of "cell shading" even tho it uses that technique. It's alot more detailed than most games that use cell shading.
The new look is a breath of fresh air to me in this age of Unreal 3 normal mapping. It's a day one purchase for me, that is if it's well received.

I second that, he might of gone Emo on us for a bit but he was awesome, not seen much in the way of personality from this new one.

Yeah, Sia's Breathe Me kind of threw me off for a second! I thought my iTunes had started itself up in the middle of the trailer....
I loved the trailer, it really made me feel something while watching it. And as someone else pointed out, the latest batch of trailers/intros really are incredibly cinematic. It's moving to see such detail and articulated cinematography in video games nowadays!

The trailer was great visually, but the writing was horrible. It sounded like it was written by an 11 year old girl with a "C" in English. Poor grammar, incorrect spelling, verb confusion. It was bad enough to be distracting. I hope they fire the ad agency that wrote that copy, or hire one if they did it themselves.
