We've received a number of tips from jilted purchasers of the Fable 2 Limited Collector's Edition over the past day -- it seems Microsoft has finally e-mailed out the DLC voucher codes which were supposed to have been included in the $69.99 bundle. Though the code, which will allow players to download the blatantly anachronistic "Hal's Armor", is a few weeks tardy, owners of the limited edition will be glad to know that their extra $10 investment has finally paid off, netting them some neat exclusive content. Well, them, and everyone else who ordered a replacement code without dropping the additional Hamilton.
[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

I would be thoroughly upset if I had bought the limited edition to then find out I could have gotten the content for fre.

There was very little that could have been done to correct this issue, and it's the only way to make sure that those who paid for the collectors edition got what they paid for. Yes, it sucks that I could have gotten it free if I had wanted to, but I reserved the limited edition because I thought it was worth all the extras. I was fortunate that the game I bought came with the code, so none of this really has any impact on me at all.
Next time let's make sure that everyone gets what they've paid for the first time, okay?

Not only that, but if it was me I wouldn't have bought such a stripped down limited edition even if it came with some exclusive content. I only get limited editions if the extra ten bucks will justify my purchase.

The content itself is meaningless.. It's the fact that people didn't get what they paid for, and that's the underlying reason for all the frustration. I'm just glad they finally fixed their screw up, a bit late though M$.

@therpham the sword has 3 augmentation slots and you get it at the beginning of the game. Now the sword you get at the end of the dungeon is lame, I had a far better sword by the time I got there, that and I use guns more.

I had never heard of anything like this happening before, but it seems to be happening an awful lot lately with CD Keys and the like.

I can't wait for that game to come out.

The controls would suck on PC, I haven't played a game that would handle better on PC control wise.

That's funny. I've got Gears of War 2, FarCry2, Fallout 3, etc and I'm still loving my time with Fable 2.
