Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds' latest patch brings voice chat

Voice chat is now available via a patch for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, PlayStation.Blog reports. In addition to this often requested feature, developer Clap Hanz also added a number of costumes for the characters in the game. Check out all of them in the seven new screenshots below. So, dear readers ... are you going to use voice chat for some ol' fashioned trash talk, or will you be using it to compliment your fellow golfers?

This is something that should be
1) mandatory in every game with online multiplayer
2) built into the firmware itself

i guess you won't be buying this game and instead play something on the 360

not really, the mics quality are often horrible and montone-ish i always ended up muting everyone on cod4 at the begining of the countdown

Hey guys this comment, is related to the chat feature they have recently enabled on this game. I was wondering when the ps3 is going to get it's act together and enable cross game voice chat! After playing several games online the only one that you can even attempt to have a conversation with a friend in is wipe out and even that is a bloody chore. I am complaining here as i am not to sure where to start this thread. I own a ps3 and i enjoy palying it but the online functionality of it is a joke. I see this post relevent because people have made similar posts already,

abe, you might be in the market for this add on called a phone. it let's you talk to people that aren't there while you do other things.

Your comment is a solution, but not a good one. Using a phone costs money, talking over PSN/XBL does not. 360 has given players the ability to talk to other gamers outside of the game they are playing ever since it launched; PS3 still cannot. I understand his claims and I feel that Sony needs to up their game on the PSN in terms of features such as this in order to bring it up to par or above XBL or else more sales will be lost due to the "Online Community/Ease of Communication" crowd...

Then use voice chat on your computer instead of a phone. If he's posting to the internet he has a computer.

I don't know what the poster is talking about, there are lots of games where you can communicate to the other players over voice, so how he says it's only Wipeout is beyond me.

Yes, there is no cross-game voice chat. It'd be nice if it had it.
