Metal Gear Online: MEME Expansion available this week

Yes it has, and aside from the retarded kids playing online and the instant headshots its a decent online game

2 things made it unplayable for me. Instant headshots and horrible lag. I think this latest expansion fixes one of those problems, dunno about the lag.

I don't know why my other comment didn't post, or why I have received an e-mail to confirm it either...*cough*Andreeeew*cough* (j/p, I don't know what's up).

I'm excited about the prospect of turning off headshots. It's weird, but in this game, you can't just get the headshot by pointing at the other player's head. After watching some video footage, I realized that you have to rapidly rock back and forth so that you can score a headshot. The hit detection seems completely odd in that way.

On the other hand, I've seen lvl 9's where the moment I catch sight of them, before I can even respond, *BOOM* headshot and I'm dead and these guys didn't even appear to draw their gun and there definitely wasn't any rocking motion to achieve it either, so maybe it's all lag?

The overall lag problem isn't that bad...I've seen a few instances here and there where I shot somebody, they immediately disappeared, and then suddenly they teleported to my side or behind me and shot me dead. But people intentionally stooping to such cheating are few and far between. Most connections aren't great (host) but stable enough to play a decent game.

It's a beautiful, flawed game. I hope this next release indeed fixes some of its shortcomings. let's hope the next release and some cqc tae-kwon-do perk instead of the ultra-slow PPK.

I was about to say, it sounds like they have a server option labeled "fun" now. That's the only thing (besides slightly weird controls) I didn't like about MGO.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Thats not the problem, the problem is when they get a headshot when they aim at your feet and not your head.

So it toggles the Matrix mode and allows you to dodge bullets?

I'm guessing you have it equipped from the skills page right? Throw in running so you can close distance faster, and scanner as well since you'll be grabbing people anyway. You'll be praised like a god by your teammates if you learn to scan for team sneak. Also make sure you are only using a 1h weapon when grabbing people.

There are rooms where there's no killing and only to level up your CQC and other skills. Just join and ask them.

Thanks i shall try that. Iam not really a fan of leveling up in rooms......... just seems like a cheap way or leveling a skill.

Everything i have i have earned. I only have mastery in Runner, AR, Sniper, Monomoa, quarterback and now iam trying for box move (dont know why) and cqc+knifing.

Like i said before i have over 200 hours logged online. I have gone from level 7 down to a 4, back up to a 7 and now iam at a 6. I've had horrible droughts. and ive had major streaks. I love/hate this game because it's different everytime i play. some people are really good and others not so much. but one little slip up and Down you fall in rank.

Cant wait for the expansions. i was holding off on gene because of price. but i will be buying the bundle asap. Money tight right now.

*sigh* You're not alone. I really wanted to like it but it had too many problems (when the game first launched) for me.

Don't even get me started about the full-time-job-playing-just-to-level-up-skills either.

All you need is a friend and an hour. Just take turns executing maneuvers to level up, that's how mostly everyone else does it.

I can kind of see Konami's intent with making their login system the way that it is...multiple games, each with their own game ID, all under the umbrella of a single Konami ID. But what sounds good on paper has worked out well in practice. Besides, what other online Konami games even exist right now?! I guess they're planning for some sort of future but as of right now, the system is broken and they should be relying on the PSN until their own system's bugs has fully developed and tested thoroughly until adequate.

You guys will pay $9.99 for just the meme expansion.

i been hearing that the online sucks i kinda work at a game store and they brought it back they say the servers are the ones from the call of duty 2 and 3 the slow and old ones so ?? i gus is okay
