NXE given to everyone who signed up for preview

Major Nelson just sent word that EVERYONE who signed up for the New Xbox Experience preview a few weeks back will be receiving access to the NXE later tonight. That is, if you correctly filled in your console ID.

We're told that the NXE will roll out within' the next few hours to every guy and gal that signed up for the preview. True, you'll only be getting NXE goodness a day early, but it's a day earlier then the masses which instantly makes you uber l33t. Now run along and go enjoy the NXE.

well im ticked, i was out of town for the day or two the NXE signup preview was going on, so i guess i dont get it early? 360fanboy says its going to people who signed up for it (not me) but joystiq makes it sound like everyone who has a 360 and xbox live gets it early...
im confused....

Definitely check your xbox first before assuming you didn't get it. I still have yet to receive an e-mail but it popped as soon as I turned on xbox.

Does anyone know the official launch time? Like will it happen at midnight or like the usual 9 am PST on Wednesday?

Ya, I live in Michigan and i'm wondering when it's suppose to come out. Either i screwd up the sign up thing or it's just not time yet.

Heard something like 2am easy coast. Dunno for sure.

Thats BS, when i tried signing up it said it was full or some crap like that.. so i didnt bother with it anymore, now they pull this crap... omg im pissed.... its probably just the beer talking though

You won't get an email! It'll give you the update prompt once you log into Xbox Live.

Looks great. Hell of allot better then the old dashboard. The avatars are pretty cool too. I wasn't to excited about them first but they look great. I almost forgot about installing games to HD I'll go do that now.

got mine, it's pretty cool. The avatars are such a cheap take off on the Wii though. I never really thought this before but now that I've created mine, they really are a huge take off on them. Also it's really not that different just fancier and a lot faster (which is great). Nothing to get all that excited over....but it's cool and 100 times better than before.

Especially the eyes haha.

on the Connect.microsoft.com website. does it say anything under the Xbox 360 preview program for anyone?

SO AWESOME! Watching Netflix right now. Quality is great!

So far this thing is badass! Even if you hate the avatars and don't care for netflix, this thing WILL appeal to you. A lot of minor things are fixed that add tremendous value. The whole things is SMOOTH! The guide dashboard popup is amazing and slimlined with everything you need or want with no feeler. The Netflix streams like a charm, although I HOPE AND PRAY they add some more HD content than what is on there. Other than that I've actually had fun with my avatar

hmmm what do you mean? You could always do that.

It's right in the Personal Settings.

Not sure if you mean they left that feature out of the NXE.... but it's in the current Dash.

You're right. You can disable them all, but not individually.

I want to be able to turn off just the "...came online" notifications. They are really distracting when you have a full active friends list and are playing a game like BioShock, Mass Effect, etc.

The only thing I can do now is turn them all off. I still want to receive messages, invites, and achievement notifications.

i totally called this! i knew it was going to be a staggered rollout, to keep the system stable.

they just called it a "preview" so people that weren't picked early wouldn't have a hissy fit.

Downloaded it last night, absolutely amazing UI for a game console

I just want to know where the cog and masterchief dressup option is.

I've read that Halo 3 loads times are worse, but that's only for single player right?
Does anyone know if loading multiplayer maps online is faster, or at least same speed? Just wondering cause I don't think my 360 is reading them right off the disc and I am lagging in matches. I know it's not the connection cause it's always worked before.

Halo 3 maps load a lot slower. I'd say up to 15 seconds longer, maybe more. But in-game, there's no difference (I can live with slower loading... I just love the sound of silence).

UK xboxers will recieve the update at 10am Wednesday morning.

What happens for folks with two consoles? Not that it's much of a concern come tomorrow, but I'm curious. I game on one that got NXE this morning, but my wife plays on one without it.

Shoot! Too late, school + work = No NXE til' tomorrow. Just a day (hours now) away, why not just chill?

Did anyone install the leaked version and can't install this one? Well that's what happened to me. : /

can't install something that's not up.

I signed up for the preview, so yeah, it's up.

Anyway, I got the official NXE today, but I found a bug in the Friends list that freezes it. : /
