They need to make a rockworm multiplayer map. Cuz man... that level was awesome!! The throne room was really pretty too, they should make that a map also.

But first they should fix the matchmaking system.

Agreed. Fix the existing problems. Then work in new maps. I haven't even played the ones that shipped with the game because I can't wait 15 minutes to get in a match.

I had 4 people in my party. I watched the clock. We waiting 19 minutes while it went back and forth trying to match us up and then connect. I gave up. Matchmaking is a mess.

It's slow, but the longest I've ever had to wait was 5 minutes. I backed out of that one. Usually, it's under 2 minutes for me to find players and for the lobby to load up. At least I'm actually getting matched up with players that are about the same skill level for a change, though. So at least that part works.

Well I'm glad the matchmaking system works for 1 person. I wonder how it determines what your skills are... considering no one ever gets to play.

Speaking of DLC, do you think it's safe to delete the old map packs from Gears 1? I don't like deleting stuff I paid 880MSP for.

wait... you paid? On my account all the maps appear free. Also I think it lets you download them again as many times as you want when you pay for something on live.

It's safe because if you change your mind you can always just redownload it.

Yeah. It took me forever to get that achievemnt to win on all maps. Because its so hard to get x map when people vote the same thing over and over. And with such a slow ass matchmaking system, I cant even find games quickly.

Then you finally get in a fun competitive game, and its only 5 measly rounds, with no "win by 2 rounds" like gow1 had. Then your back to the menu already to wait 20 more mins to find a match. Matchmaking was the worst idea ever for gears 2. I actually dont mind any of the gameplay changes but unless they fix this lobby crap, I couldnt care less about new maps.

They still have private matches in there, I have no clue why there not searchable like they were in gow1. I bet if they were searchable, hardly anybody would play public games at all (since playing private would actually count towards your rounds play and seriously achievements as well.

There was no voting in GoW. You picked the map you wanted from a list, or hosted the one you wanted and waited for an extra while.

Stop playing Player's Choice playlists and you won't have players voting for things.

It's amazing what can happen when you spend more than a half-second scanning the screen and mashing the A button!

Seriously though, matchmaking does take forever. I've had time to make lasagna from the time I joined a 5 player party to the match actually starting.

Looks like the imulsion will be an environmental hazard.

I'd really like to see Gears2 maps coming out regularly, even if it's just one per month. Or maybe 2-3 maps every other month. I think 25-30 maps total by the end of it's life cycle would be pretty sweet. Even if they're all paid maps, people will buy them (though a vocal minority will cry fowl).

I'd really like to see maps based off the Hollow caves and Mt. Kadar from the campaign.

the first map pack better be free as an apology for the huge fuck-up that is/was the matchmaking system.

Fix:
-Chainsaw not dropping
-Slow Matchmaking
-Many glitches in the campaign that refuse to trigger cut scenes so i can't progress in co-op
-Shotgun firing directly into the floor when blind firing no matter where you fire.
-Put some spawn protection in, i got 58 kills the other night by planting grenades on the floor at spawn rotfl
-Ability to glitch the meatflag out the map

And many many more stupid problems in the multiplayer you decided to shit up Epic before deciding to charge me for DLC.

I think the slow matchmaking may be a traffic issue. Because the first 60 or so hours gears 2 was out, it only took 2-3 minutes. After that is when I started having to wait, which really puts me out of the mood to play mp

They need to get some more servers. They should have a state of the art system to make sure gears run as smooth as butter.

The last 4 days I've played, I went in alone, waited 5-10 minutes, and got a game. Sometimes faster. I really don't think it's that big of a problem considering how many people are playing this game right now. Matchmaking make people play Guardian, Annex, and Meatflag when they wouldn't otherwise, and since I like the variety I support what they're doing.

THese a$$ clowns need to worry about making the online play much faster instead of creating new maps. MatchMaking is ridiculous and pretty soon I'm just going to sell back the game and play CoD 5.
