Although most bets on real-world Wrath of the Lich King drama had good odds on it involving a dead gamer in Asia, we're sure the media will be more than happy to take its pound of flesh from an exhausted Swedish boy as the latest victim of "game addiction." The 15-year-old went into convulsions following a marathon World of Warcraft session in which he hardly ate or slept.
Doctors say the boy will make a full recovery and the child's father expressed he'll limit the amount of time his son plays from now on. That must be awful for the dad; now he has to make sure his son is eating properly and pay attention to how the boy is spending his time. Parental responsibility is, like, totally not fun.

Obesity isn't necessarily caused by over-nutrition: there are many other factors, like diabetes, metabolism and water retention.
I have a friend who eats junk food everyday and who looks like a stick.

Actually Type 2 diabetes mellitus is secondary to obesity, not the other way around.

You can not simply create energy out of thin air, if you're fat, you over eat its as simple as that.

Pffft... arms. I remember back when I was a boy, before they had invented arms, we had to move stuff through sheer force of will.

I was in a reasonable amount of clothing, but I actually did partake in over 40 hours of Diablo II shortly after it launched.

People who get into these kinds of troubles by not eating or sleeping have some serious problems.
Yeah, the new expansion is addicting, however, you must pay attention to your body more than how fast you can get to the highest level.

What a weak body he has. After just 24 hours he collapses? He would never had made it through my college experience.

Careful dad! If you take it all away he'll run into a snowy forest without any clothes on!

As Swedish I read about it a few days ago in the newspaper. They completely blow it up and title it "collapsed because of video games". Then the fact that he didn't drink during the "marathon" (apparently 1 day) is a footnote.
I'm telling you, kids these days are weak. When I was in his age we could go this shit for three days with a few hours of sleep, and we never did stupid shit like dehydrate ourselves. 20 lites of coca cola and pizza and you'll be fine. Yeez, kids these days.

This is against natural selection. When a kid goes down because he is too dumb to eat or sleep he MUST be allowed to die. Saving him only enables him to later pass on his defective genes, not that anyone who plays marathon sessions of WOW will even get the chance for sex.

I just got it too after leaving a Left 4 Dead demo match. Quite surprising to say the least.

one day with no water? In a chair? Are there any other former wrestlers here that have done much worse? No water, spitting in garbage cans, running in trash bags... That's hardcore gaming.
