Call of Duty: World at War outsells CoD4's debut in UK 2:1

Looks like the Call of Duty franchise still has plenty of World War II to exploit as World at War outsold Call of Duty 4's debut week in the UK two to one. GI.biz reports that CoD:WaW stands atop the "All Formats" charts, but no actual sales numbers are given, merely chart position. The top ten can be found after the break.

Interesting to note is that Activision Blizzard accounted for 25% of all game sales for the week ending Nov. 15, with the one-two punch of CoD:WaW and World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, followed by several other top performers like the Guitar Hero franchise. Not surprisingly, Lich King is apparently the fastest-selling PC title in UK. People needs their fix!

CoD4 is still the better game though, hands down. I love the new weapons, and a fresh story helped too. I like WW2 but we all know how it ends, WaW wasn't nearly as cinematic for me as CoD4.

CoD5 has co-op though, and that counts for a lot.

Well COD:WaW is awesome even on wii its a good game. So I can see why it sold so well besides Treyarch is not a bad developer like say Koei( Their games just disappoint me ever time).

Just keep on riding those coat tails Treyarch. You may have made a better game that COD3 but not even close to COD4.

Did Resitstance 2 really sell that little? Whats your source?
And this whole Resistance 2 is "meh" thing is outragous, i was in the beta and the multiplayer is the best i have experienced period.

"Having just beat Gears 2 probably added something to that meh'ness lol" yes i've played gears 2 recently as well my brother bought it now THAT game is a let down in my eyes in campaign and competitive multiplayer. Don't get me wrong its not a bad game but from the shit cliffyb was saying i was expecting divine glory coming from the xbox when i turned it on. That didn't happen.

And Fenix you always rag on Insomniac! Why? They are AMAZING developers! They built Resistance 1 on PS2 architecture and then put it on ps3. That is an amazing feat in itself. From a techincal standpoint i would say they are one of the best in the industry up there with naughty dog and such. Have you played the recent Rachet and Clank games? Once again they are brilliant and absolutely beautiful.

Anyway sorry if i'm ranting a little bit now. Its just Insomniac are like my favourite developers and it would pain me to see r2 not do well. But i think it will, it hasn't really been out that long anyway and only in America.

I know, hard to believe someone so old has kids and STILL acts like a fanboy. Grow up would yah. I'm 16 and I'm still more mature than you. Quit being a hater.
