Looking at the 3-5 hours, surely that means all of us with tunnel vision will beat it and move on in that time. There will most likely be 500 skulls to find or something that takes much longer.

Halo has the potential to be a great game, but the fans of the series keep ruining it. I can't count how many times I've been to a LAN center while they're holding a Halo tournament and lo and behold, all the participants of the tournament are arguing over rules and settings and levels to play on! It never fails, which is why almost every LAN center in the area of Clearwater, FL will NOT hold Halo tournaments due to the turn-out they usually spawn.

I'm not bashing on the Halo series because I've played it myself. Good prequel to Marathon, caught me off guard. All the fans that you run into online will undoubtedly talk shit and make your experience a miserable one, though. Even on here, I can see where the Halo fans differentiate from the gaming fans.

Anyhow, back to the topic. Halo 3: Recon is probably going to be horrible. I'll just go ahead and say it. However, it's still going to sell a lot of copies because: 1) It's Halo and 2) It's Halo.

"We have an open world that would take us three to five hours to explore. It's called our house."

Joystiq, that quote was laugh-out-loud funny! Best. Line. Ever.

Bravo!

Im guessing that they mean open-world in the extent that MGS is, where there's plenty of ways to take or plenty of ways to get to an objective. It is called Recon after all. What do i know though, justa guess.

If anyone would bother reading the Weekly Update Bungie said that the game was originally planned to be 3-5 hours but they have added about twice the content as they originally planned for and they are coming p with new ideas every day. So yeah. Joystiq you are dumb.

I'd say your local park rather than a house would take 3 - 5 hours to explore.

I still laughed when I read it though, very witty :)
