"consumer with format after failed proprietary format"

I love how people never mention that CDs were also a Sony backed format.

To cry or Not to cry...

I think it's a pretty bum deal, but I've been streaming Netflix to my Xbox via Vista Ultimate's Media Center for about the last year or so.

The NXE was just a way to do it without having my PC on at the same time.

As far as brand loyalty... well I don't own a PS3 because (here is the non-factual opinion part) I don't think 3 titles and a blu-ray player constitutes $400, especially now that I can't upscale my PS2 games, and if i should ever find myself in need of a web browser on my TV, I'll just hook my PC up to it like I do to play the superior version of Fallout 3.

Lots of legal and business experts on this board today, seems everyone knows a little something about the decisions being made at Sony, Netflix and Microsoft.

Wow, you guys maybe want to wait a week before you jump to your conclusion? It's a licensing issue and it happens all the time. I'm pretty sure alot of you would blame Sony for rain, avalanches, and the Ebola virus just so you could bitch about something.

The best revenage for MS would be this...

Ms owns windows, and 90% of the world use windows

If you are a pirater and have a ps3, and u stream movies form the pc to the ps3....

Ms should ban all ps3 connection to windows, this will make ps3 owners pissed and switch to 360 so they can watch movies from the pc on to the tv with the 360

That is actully sweet revenage, sony blocks movies streaming to 360 via netfix

so why don't microsoft ban ps3 connection to the pc?

I think until Sony pulls their heads out of their asses I will be pirating all of the movies I want to see of theirs that way I can stream them through Media Center.

You motherfuckers are truly fucking retarded. You Xbots are brainwashed beyond belief. Since when is it cool to like Microsoft? Have you not ever heard of it's multiple anti-competitive business practices? They are getting you to buy their inferior products by manipulating public perception, that is what they do.

I am quite happy with Netflix on the 360. It works perfectly. I have no complaints. Whatever few movies I cannot stream, I can always put in my DVD que for later viewing. I could care less about the licensing issue. I am going to continue enjoying NXE and Netflix on my 360.

Sony Columbia Pictures movies (e.g., the Fifth Element) are definitely still streaming (as of 29 November) on the Netflix Website video service, even if they've been pulled from the 360, so you can watch them over there if you like. The user experience is excellent, using VC1 delivered via Silverlight.

Netflix also streams via Silverlight to Intel-based Macs, which constitute about 75% of the Apple users coming to Netflix.

Movies such as Superbad;SpiderMan 3; The Cable Guy; Across the Universe and many more are now off the Instantly Watch. It has to be some hard feelings towards Sony-Netflix-Xbox. Unless they are fixing those titles in order to let them stream on the Xbox. For now, They are off instant streaming.
