Tecmo and Koei's merger finally complete
We know this isn't exactly earth-shattering. After all, both Tecmo and Koei had already revealed that they were creating an integration plan and joining forces. So now it's finally all hammered out, with joint operations to begin in April of next year. No, the real reason we wanted to bring this to your attention was the figure that got it all done: $207 million. If that number sounds sort of familiar, it should: Koei turned down a buyout offer from Square-Enix a few months ago to the tune of $206 million. Ouch! Square's gonna need a Phoenix Down to come back from a burn like that.

So will there be teams of 100 women on both sides, but only about 4 of them will do anything that actually affect the game?

So now that Tecmo's flush with cash, they can get around to localizing Fatal Frame IV maybe?
Apparently the publishing deal with Nintendo only applied to Japan or something, as Reggie declared no intention of publishing that game, but in a way that suggested that NoA had no say in whether or not the game went abroad (of course, NoA has shown a general lack of initiative anyway)

I still don't understand why they didn't go with SE instead. That move just seemed a lot smarter.imo

If the next Ninja Gaiden is merged with Dynasty Warriors, I might kill someone, Hayabusa style.

I hope this allows Tecom-Koei to make some really cool new IPs.
Plus I hope that out of this merger there will be some new PSP games. Because right now the PSP needs more games. I am wanting to buy more games but no new ones are coming out.
