Street Fighter HD confirmed for Nov. 25 on PSN, Nov. 26 on XBLA

Confirming yesterday's rumor that Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will be making its long-awaited debut on Xbox Live Arcade next Wednesday, November 26th, Capcom has also officially dated the PS3 version – for a day earlier, on Tuesday, November 25th. The PS3 version of the game will also come with a exclusive, free bonus: hip-hop tracks inspired by Street Fighter from DJ Qbert, Redman, Hieroglyphics, and others as a digital album download.

PSN releases have historically been "locked" to Thursdays – much as XBL releases hit on Wednesdays – so is this a sign of change? Not likely, as Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 27, making this an exception to the "rule." (Konami is releasing the Metal Gear Online MEME expansion next Tuesday as well.) Multiplatformers: which version of SSFIITHDR will you be getting?

Why can't I plug my SNES controller in using my SNES-to-USB adapter? It won't work!

you can use the sega saturn USB controllers with the PS3 though, no problems.

Why would you want to do that? The Saturn d-pad is worse than the 360's.

Sega Saturn has the best Dpad for fighting games ever.

Saturn's d-pad isn't horrible, but it's far from ideal.
It's face button layout, however, is best for fighters.

Sega Saturn D-pad is "The Best Arrouuund~~!"

The SNES controller is awful for fighters; using the left shoulder button for Feirce is an awful idea.

snes controller was better than 3 buttons, i only had 1 6 button controller for genesis and most of my friends had a super nintendo. i learned how to play with the shoulder buttons before i experimented with changing the layout

On PS3 first, till I can afford to get my 360 fixed again.

I don't know how people play fighting games on a pad, can't do it. Custom arcade sticks are the way to go.

So Joystiq, i guess you didn't think it was important enough to mention the PSN exclusive soundtrack and the other suprise Capcom has in store for the PSN...

psn for sure. all my fighting games are on the playstation format (alpha series, SF3:3rd strike) lucky me, i have a 60 gig. so i'll purchase it on the psn with a better d pad and invest in an analog stick in the near future. now if only this release has trophies...then i'll be set till feb!

So I bought Commmando 3, spent all that time beta testing, waited this long for the good news and fucking PSN gets it a day before me? I'll get over this in a few minutes, but seriously... what utter bullshit.

You'd think there weren't already like 40 NEW, FULL games that didn't come out in the past 3 weeks. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that there's *something* out there you could play in the meantime!

Well yeah of course, but it's the principle of the situation. The XBL beta community was enthusiastic about helping make the game better, and I think we all did a pretty good job. This is a pretty damn lousy way for Capcom to handle this, all things considered.

Coolios... PSN for me... i wonder will they have status... like how many times u lose/win/draw? how many times u pick a certain character? will it have a random cursor on the corner to pick random characters? so many questions i needs answer...

i wasn't seriously considering it till i just read about the sound track

I'm definitely buying a first copy for the 360. I may buy a second 360 copy (for my second 360) or a PS3 copy as well.

I'll stick with one PS3 and one 360 copy of SF IV, though.

Either way I hope you continue to wipe your ass with hundred dollar bills.

I have PSN and XBOX live....For me its all about
1. better d-pad
2. My friends are scatter on both consoles so I dont really care if they play with me or not
3. Tracks
4. PSN is free and lag free
Its no contest. hahahahahaaaaa

I may also get it for live depending on if my friends on live get it and how many of them get it.
