The New Xbox Experienced

Installed painlessly. Did the avatar thing. I was lost for a while, then I figured it all out. The one thing that makes it all worthwhile: Installed Banjo-Kazooie N&B to the HDD. Launched it, and the DVD drive *completely* stopped! Yay! No more vibrating desk! No more constant turbine noise! Noticeably faster loads, much fewer hiccups/short freezes while stuff loads up, scrolling through lists, etc. Huge improvement. Now if only I had a good-sized HDD, I could do this to more than one game at a time.

I'm kind of surprised that nobody's talking about the Community Games channel. Nobody's at all interested in the 30+ games that came out today, many actually worth playing?

I don't like the way this article was written. For one, I don't like NXE, and there is no "I hate NXE" option in the poll.

Not only that, but then they try to advertise NXE and make me change my mind about it.

I don't like it. It seems like an excuse to blast more advertising directly at us. The avatars would be great if they were optional but you are forced to have one.

The download and install process was quick and painless. The avatars are dumb, pointless and forced but not that big of a deal in the end. I really like the party system but it doesn't work correctly. My party kept getting disconnected from each other. I need more time to play with it and get used to it before I can make a final determination. It seems mostly like eye candy more than anything. Haven't installed a game yet b/c I only have a 13 Gb HDD thats nearly full. Once I have some time to clear out space I will gave that a run as well.

LET ME CHOOSE THE DEFAULT CHANNEL! I shouldn't have to see the spotlight channel everytime I go to the NXE. My xbox should be the default, and the friends channel should be just above it. Its annoying that the marketplace channels are in between.

anyone else having freezing problems while going through your friends in the dashboard? my xbox doesnt freeze anywhere else, but if im looking through avatars it froze 4 times in a row, then i played 3 hours of COD just fine.

Does anyone else's background wallpaper looks ugly becaus eof the update? I'm raging cuz I dun wanna change my wallpaper
