You must live alone. Otherwise, it's a nice period of uninterruptible alone time. I read 100 Years of Solitude completely on the can (not in one sitting of course).

That mag has been rolling downhill all year. All the talent is gone, and Meilke is killing it.

I, for one, miss EGM2/XG/GameNow much more than I'll miss EGM. I certainly won't be paying for online EGM since I can get all the reviews and sarcasm I need from Joystiq.

I have subs for both GI and EGM, but I honestly don't read either of them. I got the EGM sub for free from Wired awhile back and we all know how GI spreads (like a virus?).

I really only read Joystiq and Co-optimus, sometimes Rock, Paper, Shotgun. I end up on a few other sites, but not regularly. And in the late 90s, I paid for 3 different gaming/computer mag subscriptions.

I'll miss print, but I probably shouldn't since I'm not really doing my part to support it.

Uncontrol-Do you actually lift the toilet seat when you go to the can with your EGM mag? You would think your girlfriend would really be pissed if she found out you were faking and really did wanna be alone-dontcha think? lol

Bummer. I always liked EGM. Good thing 1UP's going strong.

Okay, first of all I think that it is AMAZING that the number one concern here is for toilet time. Seriously, I love that.

Second, my iPhone has become my toilet companion. I think as the Interner shrinks, our options increase. and in all honesty, EGM is cool and all. But how often do you read it and think, "Wow, this is all new information to me!"

It's a shame. I really (though a blog addict myself) prefer the feel and warmth of print media. It really is a shame. I have seen my U.S. News go online only, PC Mag, now EGM.

EGM has blown ass for years now and got more and more arrogant as time has gone by. Would be glad to see them go.

IMO Game Informer is the mag to read.

EGM started coming off as GamePro-ish to me, for quite sometime now.

This sucks. Although EGM now isn't quite as good as it was in the 90s in my opinion, it was still pretty consistent and always enjoyable to glance at. Hopefully it stays around somehow.

This concerns me given that I just subscribed to EGM!

Ugh.

That's wonderful. Since the demise of CGW (or GFW - YOU pick your favorite gaming magazine acronym!), my EGM subscription got extended to about December of 2010. That will be worth about 1/10 of a cent real soon.

How will I read EGM in the crapper if it's only online??

So I guess no more free subscriptions huh? Those were fun.
Going online sounds a bit futile. They should've already been online when ign, gamespot, and the like came out.
