...Well, OK, they're not that rich. Hell, if you want to get persnickety about it, they're not even particularly famous outside of a particular sphere. But you're reading Joystiq, so we're going to assume you're in said sphere and present you with some e-celebs, accompanied by their new NXE Avatars. Consider it a companion to yesterday's avatar look-a-likes.

Along with those digi-stars, you're also going to see a lot of guys from Joystiq, because we know most of those guys and they have to do whatever we say. If you're a celebrity left off the list (or just know the gamertag of one) feel free to ping us: tips aat joystiq dawt com.

How did Major Nelson get green hair? I didn't see an option for turning hair color green, I only saw gray, white, brown, black, blonde, and various shades of red.

From GameFAQs: "If you go into your avatar editor, and select Change Features (where your hair, and nose, and things are), if you mess around with your Avatar for a few minutes (shaking and nodding his head, etc) the hair icon will rotate, move cursor to hair and click. you will hear a noise and your hair will be pink. Select your hair style, and now you have another page of colors including red, blue green, pink, purlpe, and a couple other shades. Keep in mind that if you remove an "unnatural" hair color, you will have to do the trick again, but if you keep one, they will remain there."

You really should get that checked out McElroy.

They all are shifting they're weight to one side...See...When a Wii like avatar does it...It makes me truly dislike it.

I don't like how every avatar male or female has chick hips.

Yes and very lame shoulders. On top of that it keeps doing this pageant queen wave that makes it look super teh gay.

You should be allowed to give it different personalities, like I wish mine gave my friends the finger all the time.

On the bright side it will be amusing to hear the bigots hate on gay people while their avatars look totally gay.

I'm just mad that they only have two beard options. TWO!!! WTF! lol I have a very neat and trimmed beard not a scruffy one like the one they have. :P

Overall they're actually pretty cool and seeing all your buddies together in a party is sweet too. Other than the occasional freeze that happens (which I know they're working on) when in the dash it is AWESOME!

Yeah, my beard-like thing is only an eighth of an inch long when I trim it, but the only beard-like thing available for avatars is something like three inches thick. No thanks.

I keep a scruff, and would like to have a scruff option.

@dark_inchworm: See, I have the opposite problem. My beard-like thing in real life is at least 6 inches long and that 3 incher is just not enough.

I too wait with bated breath for the grand spectacle that Soulja Boy's avatar will be. You can't even beat him at Bioshock, man, how're you gonna beat him at avatar making?!

This post probably made my day. Too bad I am about to go to sleep right now. Highlights are obviously the fire crotch, lion-holding, and panda-riding.

My biggest complaint is that all the glasses on the avatars make the boys look like they have giant bags under their eyes. First I thought people were going for realism, then I realized it was the lighting.

The Avatars are not all bad. Sure they make everyone look a bit "jar-heady",but at least they have digits and ears.

But I still have to Wii's Mii's the edge for creativity, I doubt anyone will make General Ackbar or Batman using MS Avatars.

Is there no fat avatar option? I notice that none of the fat people have fat avatars. What's up with that?

By that I meant make avatars resembling them... yeah.

Chobot is hot, but Belmont seems to have more of a personality. And come on, when the vampires come, Belmont will have my back!

@Obie: I tend to lean more towards Veronica as well. She just seems a lot more human and personable.

Smart move McElroy, and for the record you are correct. I would whine like 5 year old who got a red bike intead of a blue one for Christmas.
