I call B.S.!! What does Wii even have out this Holiday? Here's the hype machine rolling in again... I've seen stacks of Wii's in every store I've been in the last few weeks. I could go and buy 10 right now if I wanted to. Gamestop are a bunch of crooks! We should all thank them for the info and reserve a Wii, right? Maybe we'll all just sign up for their membership too and reserve other titles that will be hard to find by Christmas.(sarcasm)

Your source is an epic fail. Every GameStop should be fully stocked with Wii's this season. My store gets replenished daily now, as well as everyone else in the Massachusetts/New Hampshire region. And the same is slated to happen across all U.S stores if it hasn't already.

If we are talking about hard to find stuff... Try the Wii Fit.

Not being able to find Wiis is a myth.

I haven't gone into a store that sells video games in the last 6 months without seeing a Wii for sale. I mean, even Blockbuster has them every time I'm there. Other than Wal-mart, but that's completely do to the fact that Wal-mart has trouble keeping anything in stock in general.

Now, Wii Fit is a different story altogether. Places in town are starting up the price on those puppies by $20 to $60 whenever they get in stock. And I have STILL yet to see one.

Does that mean I should try and sell my Wii Fit on ebay? I've literally used it twice since I got it over the summer.

Funny, I just got home from wal mart about half an hour ago and passing by the electronics section I noticed about 10 wii's sitting there. I've actually seen at least a couple there everytime I've been there for the last 6 months or so, but that was the most I can remember seeing.

To be honest, I could care less at this point. The Wii's novelty has worn off so if it's in stock or outo of stock, i just don't care.

After placing 3rd in a ssbb tourney, i haven't played brawl since (my hall-mate has the wii). Really the only game we play is kart...

Come to think of it, i can't name 10 really good wii games that i would buy (sorry TP, but i already have you for gamecube).

Some of us prefer Japanese games. Not because we are weeaboo's (not all of us, anyway) but because the Japanese developers seem to largely understand how to add charm and replay value without relying on the crutches of realism and online play

Khan, i'm not bashing japanese games.
Last time i checked, every game on my list was japanese, lol.

But most of the crap that comes out on the wii is just that... crap.

I guess it comes down to age. With the internet's anonymity you don't know if your talking to 12 year old kid or a 42 year old man.

When i was 12, every video game I played was cool. If i were a reviewer, i would've been tossin out 10s left and right. But now, 8 years later, I can't play wario-ware games and "party babyz." I mean come on.

The wii is a great multimedia entertainment system, but it does not take traditional gaming nearly as serious as the xbox 360 and ps3.

The amount of work that goes into a fallout 3 or Gears 2 can only be rivaled by the wii's first party games. The rest of the wii games look like some flash based crap you can download for free online.

So no, for the 2nd or 3rd year in a row I guess, I wont be getting a wii despite the fact that I own Brawl and Galaxy (my friends have the wii). It's just not worth $250... at all.

blah blah blahhhhh

"the Wii won't sell"
"well, games don't sell on it"
"uhh ok, but third party games definitely don't sell!"
"....third party games that don't adhere to this specific criterium don't sell?"

"wii has no games!"
"well, your list contains too many party games"
"uhh well, your list still contains too many japanese games!"

"oh fuck you, I'm going home! *WAHHHHHHH*"

Hilarious. At least you're keeping yourself busy I guess. ;)

The last time I saw a lot of Wii's was at my local Best Buy.

But I also saw a hundred PS3 and XBox 360s.

Recall that you are part of a small minority. The idea of the Wii just selling to non-gamers is false, the people that really seem to be pushing them across are the so-called mid-core that really gave the PS2 it's strength in its heyday

I'll try to remember that while I play hide 'n seek inside the gigantic circular stack of them at all the local Best Buys. It's about time those things became easily obtainable.

They are available here, but will likely be gone by Xmas eve as usual (and is pretty much the case with any video game console here). Only certain stores have them as well, so your pretty much forced to buy at whatever store has the Wii in stock. I know TRU and Best Buy probably have tons while Target and Walmart don't have any and I have only seen Wii's in stock in Target one time since November 2006.

Get your Wii early this holiday season and you will get one, wait until the last minute and you won't get one. This article is probably meant to warn last minute shoppers who think they will get one at 7pm on Xmas eve, although these types of people who need to be warned probably aren't reading this anyways. Some people will never learn.

GOTY, surely.

In all seriousness, my girlfriend and I were mortified by the box art when we saw that game on sale at Target.

LOL, i seriously thought you made that game up!!!

As if the wii needed any extra help portraying its "for kids" image...

I honestly wouldn't mind this crap if there were just more amazing games on the wii.

Like many have already said, I've been in a few Best Buys in Tucson many times over the past month and a half and every time there has been a very large stack of Wiis as well as a very large stack of Wii Fits.

If there is a shortage, no one told Best Buy.

3rd year in a row... funny... i don't think i've played my since Mario Kart...which i played for 2 hours and haven't touched since... I don't get the fascination. It seems the system is good for: grandparents, little kids, and non-gaming women.

We couldn't find one anywhere ! All the stores in town are sold out and as soon as they got them in they were gone. I don't know why there is not enough supply. The demand is there for them. I think maybe it's a marketing scheme. Anyways, I entered a bunch of contests after I couldn't find one and got really lucky and managed to win one :D
If anyone want's to try their luck and win one you can visit the site www.nintendowiicontest.com

It must depend where you live, because I'm about 20 minutes from Boston, and no stores in my area have any in stock. Ever.

The first and only time I saw them in stock was in a Best Buy about 3 months ago. They had two.

They've all got at least two dozen DS's, though, and in all the colors.

You guys are to funny. Bottom line is that WII's are for kids and the elderly. I can't believe that most of you 30 - 40 yr olds still play crap with Mario in it. Get real... grow up and get a big boy system with real games not some shit with a homo in a red hat and suspenders.
