"... if you can ignore the extremely misguided kill em' all message it sends about terrorists."

Am I not understanding what is meant here, or is PS3fanboy writers defending terrorists now? I hope that is not the case.

I actually liked that movie...Although it was short and slightly off beat.

I have a different phrase though. "kill em all and let someone sort out the women, children and men into individual piles." It works here there...

There's a difference between defending terrorists and saying that they shouldn't all be killed.

I guess it's the difference between saying "Eh, it's a problem - just kill/destroy it and forget about it" or saying "Eh, it's a problem - let's try and work out why it's so and then try to fix it."

Also, terrorism is defined as something used to create fear. Are police terrorists for doing that? Should we kill them though?

All a matter of perspective.

@oldmanpip

The movie is from two separate sides. With the Arabs saying they will them all, which include 'innocents'.

And then from the US secret service people or whoever they were saying they will kill them all....They who killed their friends.

I like to think it is more of a matter of who you want to kill....Like...I do not want to kill the terrorists responsible for 9/11 because I had nothing to do with it. But for someone who is fighting those who terrorize...It will always come down to separate groups from a Government....Not grey social areas like cops. Although...For myself at the moment I do not have a grudge against someone enough to scratch them away.

Yeah, I did a double take on that too. What in the world's wrong with killing terrorists? They need killing. After all, by definition, they're trying to kill us.

Why the hell does the cover of Hancock give away the twist halfway through?

Yeah, that cover is horrible and I haven't even seen the movie yet! So it ruins 2 things for me before I even watch it.

I came here to say the same thing.
If anyone hasn't seen it yet, or knows the twist, your movie is now ruined. And wtf is up with his legs?!

Whoever designed that cover needs to be fired.

How ignorant and short-sighted. What would you suggest as an alternative?

.. Is exactly what the stereotype terrorists would say about you. They're no less right than you are either.

i just watched hancock on blu-ray last night, and it was not very good. the first 1/3 or so of the movie was pretty entertaining, then it just went downhill from there. i do not recommend it.

Yup, your dead-on. It starts off OK and then quickly goes to garbage. It's barely even a movie.

I quite liked Meet Dave.
Some really stupid moments, but a fun bit of sci-fi, the idea of a spaceship being a android populated by the crew is pretty cool.

Actually, if you payed attention to the end of the Kingdom, you would have picked up on the ending trying to put across a somewhat different message than that. It actually pointed out the similarity between two perspectives, the foolishness of the "kill them all" attitude, and why the cycle of violence continues as a result. So, really, there wasn't anything at all misguided about the movie's message.

Whew, what a relief. And here I thought this might actually portray the reality that terrorists are evil and those who fight them, whatever their flaws, are in the right, and that America is a good country.

Count on Hollywood to once again give us moral equivalence, "we're just as bad as they are", etc.
