Boogerman's the pick for Virtual Console
Now hold on just a minute. First we get to pick Chrono Trigger as the most exciting game release of the week, then we get to make a Boogerman joke in our headline? Are we crazy, or do we work at Ultra Game Players magazine in the year 1995? Where's Bill Donahue? Where's our Skullbat?
No pinching necessary, we're not dreaming: Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure (Sega Genesis, 1 player, 800 Wii Points) really is the Virtual Console release of the week. As for the game itself, It's ... well, it's exactly what it sounds like. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to hit a late matinee of Waterworld.

I don't think anything more needs to be said.

Christ Jynxy, your avatar always gives me the insta-horn.
I have to go to a meeting in a minute, damn.
MaSTA_SoLIDUS @ Nov 24th 2008 12:00PM
I loved this game.
Roto13 @ Nov 24th 2008 9:23AM
Ultra Game Players was just called Game Players until the launch of the N64. And Bill Donohue was at PSM, but I don't think he's there any more.

Bill Donohue answered one of my letters to Game Players once. I've still got the magazine somewhere (along with a pile of other Game Players mags).

It's clearly a sign to name the kind Boogers.
Wiinterfang @ Nov 24th 2008 9:57AM
Kind booger? I guess some boogers are indeed well mannered.
JoeTheBlow @ Nov 24th 2008 9:46AM
Being from PSN land i have no idea what these 800 "Wii Points" or whatever are worth in actual money, but i can tell you this.......
Whatever it is, its too much.
BPMOmega [gamertag] @ Nov 24th 2008 2:09PM
Man, if you don't know what a Wii Point--err--Nintendo Point is worth, you've haven't been anywhere close to the Internets for the last couple of years...
In the US, it's a simple conversion of 1 Nintendo Point to one cent. 800 NP = US$8.00
JoeTheBlow @ Nov 25th 2008 5:00AM
Thats the problem, most of the world, including me, is not in the US.
Stupid, stupid, points bollocks.
Ranus Studios @ Nov 24th 2008 9:59AM
I remember Bill! Dude was the man.
FlamingEffigy @ Nov 24th 2008 10:00AM
The 90's were the greatest...
Trulz @ Nov 24th 2008 10:07AM
Holy Crap, I still have my Ultra game players demo discs. Bill Donahue was all that is man.
Gaucho @ Nov 24th 2008 10:46AM
nice. I had Boogerman, but if im not mistaken it came out around the time of Maximum Carnage, and my love for that game is far beyond that which i can offer Boogerman. . . Maximum Carnage would be brought down by Saturday Night Slammasters in a single breathe though. . . hehe.
Korey @ Nov 24th 2008 11:39AM
I had a subscription to Game Players for the majority of the 90's. They did all that really cool "armageddon" stuff, where these warlords from another dimension took over the magazine and Bill joined their side... It was all very confusing at the time and still is now that I try recall it.
Aw well, Game Players FTW forever. Mike Salmon was pretty hilarious too.
Izeas GT @ Nov 24th 2008 12:11PM
I only know of Boogerman from Captain SNES.
JustJeff24 @ Nov 24th 2008 12:38PM
I always thought Bill looked like Anne Ramsey.

I don't wanna go on a rant here, but America's foreign policy makes about as much sense as Beowulf having sex with Robert Fulton at the First Battle of Antietam, I mean when a Neo-Conservative defenestrates, it's like Raskolnikov filibustered deoxymonohydroxinate.
