Hideo Kojima receives lifetime achievement award from MTV

So is the Achievement worth 50G or 100G?

Yeah,miyamoto is the first name that would come out of my mind for a ;ifetime achievement award,however kojima would be right behind that name.

to all those guys that are complaining about kojima don´t deserving this award as he has only made "metal gear" games, remember that the movies academy gave george lucas an achievement award for what?? oh yeah!!! star wars, and he only wrote the first one the other two were based in his work and we all know what "based" is, he didn´t do anything for another 20 years until episode 1 2 and 3, and we all know what kind of garbage is that.....steven pielberg has achievements awards and many people seems to forget that he hasn´t wrote ANY of the scripts that made him famous, even close encounters was written by somebody else and steve just rewrote the script based in that idea, but those two guys are gods and they got their lifetime awards. so why not giving such award to a man that REALLY deserves it, even though he is more known for metal gear???
although i do agree that mtv should give that award to other big names that were there before 3d, guys and girls like: roberta williams, tim schaffer, ron gilbert, dave jones, andy davidson, jordan mechner, jane jensen, al lowe, and many MANY others that created games and stories that are used to this day and without them there will be no games like grand thief auto or worms, i really hope this achievement award really becomes that and not just an award for having a "one hit wonder" or an achievement that is granted to people that has been in the industry for the last 2 years and not for big true legends that deserves it (like kojima)

Fuck miyamoto. who brought miyamoto up in the first place? nobody gives a damn if kojima did or didnt innovate or create a genre. All that matters is that a lot of people have played his games and they liked it so much that he was recognized for them.

Wow, just read through every comment in this post and didn't see more than one talking about Jade Raymond. Kudos everyone.

Kojima-san: (appears as a talking green head on-screen, several frames of animation): "What you're saying is you want to present me with an award?"

Raymond: "Yes, we're presenting you with an award."

Kojima-san: (look of shock) "So that award is for me?"

Raymond: "Yes, it's a stealth award!"

Kojima-san: "Do you think love can bloom at an awards show?"

Raymond: "Yes, Kojima-san, I believe love can bloom anywhere."

Kojima-san: "So again, you're presenting me with an award?"

... this continues for 2-3 more hours, even after repeatedly pressing the Start button. Then the viewer plays an action scene for five minutes, and we go into another cinematic. Crotches are grabbed, several crying scenes. Lather, rinse, repeat.
