Brace your face: 50 Cent is back with a new trailer
You know what? We don't even need the game this point. Seriously, we've gotten so much entertainment from the trailers of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand that, come January, Mr. Cent should watch his diamond-encrusted mailbox for a check from us for $60 and a little note that just says, "Thanks."
Just in this latest trailer, Fiddy asks where his skull is (spoiler alert, 50: It's in your head), ducks three rockets and forbids someone from calling him by his given name. What's more? He's rapping THE WHOLE TIME. Check it out right after the break.

I don't know what's worse, the fact that this game is getting made or that it will sell millions of copies.
Kyle smith @ Nov 25th 2008 2:20PM
I don't like this because I'm a racist.

Or maybe it's that when you punch people in the stomach, they pee blood through their pants.
Temidien @ Nov 25th 2008 3:34PM
I don't understand the Thug scene. There's nothing "thug" about corporate merchandising. If you want thug, whore yourself out and make a ton of crappy merchandise, steal the vans carrying the crap, and burn it outside a Walmart while drinkin purple drink. Now that's a liberated thug.
Biff_McFresh @ Nov 25th 2008 4:25PM
I believe it's called purple drank.
BJ is Gooder @ Nov 25th 2008 5:42PM
There is no friggin' way this will sell one million copies.
MAYBE if they sold it for $5 w/ purchase of a Whopper value meal.
Abalistar @ Nov 25th 2008 10:02PM
@BJ
Actually, the last game sold something around 1.5 million copies. So seeing as how this one actually looks a good deal better, it's not a stretch to think it could sell 2-3 million copies.
Courtney @ Nov 25th 2008 2:21PM
GotY 2009: Confirmed.

We just have to wait for Luddy to formally announce it on the next Joystiq Podcast.
Oops, I think "Luddy" is just for people who are close to him. I dun call him that.

based on a steaming pile of bollocks.
quasebrasileiro @ Nov 25th 2008 2:25PM
Yeah, what IS up with all those rockets? Oh... that's right. Getting hit with REGULAR bullets just makes him more popular :)
Haggard @ Nov 25th 2008 2:27PM
It's probably only going to be mediocre but I don't think this game will be half as bad as everyone seems to think.
Dirty @ Nov 25th 2008 2:29PM
Sometimes even the best gameplay can not save a premise.
quasebrasileiro @ Nov 25th 2008 2:30PM
Probably?
quasebrasileiro @ Nov 25th 2008 2:32PM
I agree though, Haggard. I'm sure it'll have its moments.
Wiinterfang @ Nov 25th 2008 2:40PM
That's what screw this game.

and it was pretty good, plays exactly like super metroid.
Erluti @ Nov 25th 2008 2:50PM
@Dirty
I feel like no amount of atrocious gameplay could hinder the premise. I can't wait to see who would pay for a concert with a Crystal Skull (other than indiana jones?) and then who would be crazy(?) enough to steal it from 50 CENT!
DBuck_Eye @ Nov 25th 2008 3:40PM
Wiinter, back then people put some effort into licensed games. Just look at Duck Tales. Now, the devs know that they can half-ass it and it will still perform well so they don't bother.
j.howlett @ Nov 25th 2008 2:29PM
looks better than the first looked. i might get this game.
Nadril @ Nov 25th 2008 2:32PM
Yo, man, that name is for people close to me!

As far as games i wouldnt buy this whether it was 50 Cent/any other music artist. As far as the game being oh so bad...There has been and are worse, games on shelves and in production.
Yes! Come all non rap music listening people! Let the world know how bad this game is...

Deaftly, I'd buy that for a dollar...two if Bruce Willis co-stars.

Comment system sappin' mah mind!
Alien Lord @ Nov 25th 2008 2:39PM
Why should anyone care about 50 cent, he nor his game really matter.
Lord Negatron @ Nov 25th 2008 3:12PM
Why?
Dont be stupid, everyone knows if this game does well, there will be a spin off game.
Axle Rose (GNR) team up with 50 and friends, to save the world.
deaftly @ Nov 25th 2008 4:01PM
I'm still waiting for this Aerosmith game I heard about where they go on a mission to blow up a comet. Seriously what a great idea!
Biff_McFresh @ Nov 25th 2008 4:33PM
Aerosmith has done enough damage with Revolution X, dear god.
Haggard @ Nov 25th 2008 5:21PM
I swear on some bonus feature on St. Anger or Some Kind of Monster, there was a trailer for Metallica: The Video Game.
SpydaKat 17 @ Nov 25th 2008 6:12PM
Because it's obvious that Mr. Cent is 'bout that. He said so himself.
D-5 @ Nov 25th 2008 2:42PM
The name of the game and the premise/storyline are so bad, it's good. I can't help but laugh (In a good way) when I think about the storyline. I think it could be worth a rental.
Readme @ Nov 25th 2008 3:54PM
I agree with you. Though I firmly believe 50 Cent to be a mediocre (at best) entertainer made famous by marketing muscle, the premise of this game is so ridiculous that I am beyond disdain for it. It's hilarious!
xFenixKnightx @ Nov 25th 2008 2:43PM
Have they announced plans for midnight launches yet? I wanna ask for the day off!!!!
:P
Lord Negatron @ Nov 25th 2008 3:01PM
Crackin me up over here @ work, Fenix. Lolz
xD
Send me an XBL invite when all of you get this, i'll be wayy too busy playing Tabula Rasa. I'll keep my on the 360 screen on launch day.
:P
The3rdNuisance @ Nov 25th 2008 2:43PM
... I want this game now. Gameplay looks good, sure fine, but the dialogue seems like its going to be hilarious. The level of obnoxious the game devs have made this trailer exude make it look awesome.
Erluti @ Nov 25th 2008 2:52PM
I feel like the developers of this game just get together and ask in a weekly meeting, "How could we make this game MORE ridiculous? We really need to amp up the ridiculosity. We are at like 8 ridicuwatts, and we need to get to 11."
...
"How about a worm. A GIANT WORM! WE CAN SINK CITIES WITH A *GIANT WORM*!!!"
Lord Negatron @ Nov 25th 2008 3:05PM
Low blow! (Although my face couldnt have gotten blank-er at that point in GoW2)
Even though you get +20 for hilariousnosity.
The love here is almost as strong as Nickelbacks Joystiq's day of fame.
Hyams @ Nov 25th 2008 3:10PM
I loved that line in GeoW2, in a "it's so cheesy it's brialliant" way. The dramatic background music and Bender's alarmed delivary added to the effect and made it 20x even moar awesome.
translucntdreams @ Nov 25th 2008 3:41PM
8 ridicuwatts!
I nearly pissed myself
rockstargodzu @ Nov 25th 2008 2:53PM
Will 50 ever get back his Damien Hirst skull? I'm dying in anticipation.
Bass Masterson @ Nov 25th 2008 2:54PM
Interesting fact: 99.9% of the people who listen to Fitty Cent voted for Obama. Deal with it.
JC @ Nov 25th 2008 3:01PM
Interesting fact: You're an idiot.
Hyams @ Nov 25th 2008 3:03PM
Actual fact: 99.9% of the people who listen to Fitty Cent weren't aware an election was taking place. Nor know what an election is.
Erluti @ Nov 25th 2008 3:06PM
Yeah, the middle class whites do love some obama.
Ebichu @ Nov 25th 2008 3:12PM
You called?
Badboy1979 @ Nov 25th 2008 3:23PM
Your point? 100% of the KKK members who actually voted more than likely voted for McCain.
Does that make McCain a racist? No. Does that even mean he likes the KKK or even knows anybody who's a member? No.
You should try a little harder to make a relevant post next time ;)
... and as Erluti pointed out, you'd be suprised to see the demographic that actually buys 50 Cent's music. (I don't, by the way)
Classic @ Nov 25th 2008 3:42PM
I refuse to believe that when 50 himself probably voted republican so they wouldn't tax his millions.
PranaFerox @ Nov 25th 2008 3:46PM
That's got to be the dumbest comment in the history of Joystiq.
Interesting fact: In order for something to be called a "fact," you can't just pull statistics out of your ass.
