PSN Tuesday: Street Fighter II HD; excellent PSN titles now $5
Blessed be this day, for soon we may never have to type out "Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix" again. Optimistically, it's just this PSN post, maybe one tomorrow about the Xbox 360 version on XBLA, and hopefully one more after that when Capcom finally announces the PSN European release.
What certainly should not be overlooked in today's update is the PSN price promotion that offers excellent titles like PixelJunk Eden and echochrome at a measly $5 -- for a limited time! The full North American update can be hadoukened after the break.
Price Promotion: The Last Guy, PixelJunk Eden, echochrome, Novastrike, and Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 are priced at $5 until Dec. 4, 2008.

Sweet, going for SFII and I love how PSN has sales. Makes me pick up things I might not have otherwise (Eden)...
Courtney @ Nov 25th 2008 8:39PM
Yep, I've been thinking about Eden for awhile, but for $5, it's getting downloaded as soon as I get home.
Titanium_Orchid @ Nov 25th 2008 6:26PM
$5 just made The Last Guy a lot more interesting.
Also, I posted this before but I'll say it again. I want Sim City 2000. If anybody in the UK is interested in game sharing, I will buy a game/games of equal value. Hit me up if your interested.
ZB @ Nov 25th 2008 6:55PM
I have an original copy of the PS1 game. tell me how much you would be willing to buy it and i will consider it.

I want the game on my hard drive. :(
Courtney @ Nov 25th 2008 8:43PM
I would recommend The Last Guy, and definitely for $5. It's certainly an different experience and one that I think anyone interested in experimental games should check out.
Titanium_Orchid @ Nov 25th 2008 8:55PM
The download of the Last Guy is going on as I type.
Eden is a great platformer in my opinion. I bought it at full price and was not disappointed.
Courtney @ Nov 25th 2008 9:42PM
I tried the demo for Eden and the only thing that kept me from buying it was the time limit per stage. I read (maybe on Joystiq), that they might patch it to remove the timer and decided to wait. Then I forgot to ever check and see if they had patched it.
I didn't like the feeling of being rushed on those stages. I really just wanted to swing around and explore without the arbitrary limit.
Titanium_Orchid @ Nov 26th 2008 12:13AM
The time limit was never patched out.
I don't understand why people seemed to hate the time limit so much. Once I understood the controls, I didn't have an incredibly hard time finishing the game. I think there was a good amount of difficulty. Besides, the timer is the only thing that made the game challenging in any way, and removing it would definitely make the game a whole lot less interesting.

Any price cuts for Europe?
Joel @ Nov 25th 2008 7:56PM
I love your profile pic! I'm a HUGE fan of Poirot (and Hastings). I've watched every single episode released here in The States.
Poirot is highly recommended to any reading this post who likes good mysteries and quirky, funny characters.
wienerdog @ Nov 25th 2008 6:28PM
What time do they usually update the PSN? I would have thought Sony would have a specified time each week like Nintendo does with Virtual Console and WiiWare.
Archon @ Nov 25th 2008 6:33PM
They do.
Used to be Thursday mornings, now they tend to do that Thursday evenings. This week is special, because of Thanksgiving.
Miguel @ Nov 25th 2008 6:30PM
Might have to pick up echochrome.
Wiinterfang @ Nov 25th 2008 6:33PM
HADUKEN!!!!!
CrashSpyro123 @ Nov 25th 2008 7:01PM
If I didn't already have all of those games, I'd pick up what I don't have at those prices.
They're all recommendable games depending on what you're looking for.

Throwing a tantrum like a spoiled child because of an error code: ___________ (fill in the blank)
j.howlett @ Nov 25th 2008 8:50PM
had the same problem with it. after you click download and get the error exit the store. go to account management and go to downloads. hope it helps
DCBlack @ Nov 26th 2008 2:19AM
I'm guessing you didn't buy any of that yourself. That's one potentially expensive tantrum.
silverwolf761 @ Nov 25th 2008 8:39PM
I really feel like a sap for paying $15 for a game I have owned multiple times already.
It looks quite nice though.
dave @ Nov 26th 2008 12:10AM
I don't know what the deal is but it shows up at $15 for me. All the other games mentioned are $5, street fighter is the only one...
dave @ Nov 26th 2008 1:25AM
hmm, nevermind. I just can't read...
DCBlack @ Nov 26th 2008 2:16AM
Would be nice to see one more use of "SSFIITHDR" in a future post...one that includes a price cut.
Wienerdog @ Nov 26th 2008 7:49AM
Street Fighter II online gameplay was a mess last night. Was able to play a few matches with horrible audio chat delays, then we weren't able to get a match going at all. Is this a problem with their servers getting overloaded? These problems didn't happen when we switched to Resistance 2.
