EA has announced that the previously nebulous "January" release for Skate 2 has been narrowed to a solid January 21, 2009 release for North America with a worldwide release to follow on January 23. The company also announced that it will be releasing a new Graphics Creator web application in December that will allow users to create custom designs for in-game clothing used in Skate 2 (you mean VelocityGirl's dream is finally a reality?). Finally, EA announced that those who pre-order the game will receive an exclusive Throwback Pack which includes "retro clothing, accessories and gestures." We'll take the Skate or Die T-shirt, EA, but you can keep the tie-ye, mkay?

Does anyone know yet if there will be a simple free roam mode online. Maybe I'm an idiot, but from what I understood of my experience with the first game, you could free skate, but you were still limited to certain sections of town. If there is in fact a true free roam mode over live, this will be a buy for sure, since that's the only reason I never bought the first one.

If you unlocked all the areas of the city in single player, there will be a choice online to skate in the entire city map. Indoor parks and warehouses still are separate.
I think that's how you get it cause I have that choice..

From what I have read, the online mode in Skate 2 will be similar to that in Burnout Paradise. If this is correct, I will buy it twice.
