This game is freaking awesome, same graphic as ffcrystal chronicles, started playing but I don't know kanji so I stopped, nice music,

Nintendo Power did a nice preview of the game a couple issues ago.
Apparently you can use the book to re-make the world. And I, for one, cannot wait to grow evil flowers on malevolent sand.

I read that article, and I don't think it's so much remake as alter. You can alter the world by changing the basic essence of something, and yes a very interesting idea. This is definitely on my must buy list =)

"Alter" is a better word. It's still a remarkable idea, being able to take bits of one thing and put it in another thing.....it's actually a bit like alchemy or item creation in every other game ever, but the added twist of being able to decide what you make is what gets me excited.
