Resident Evil 5 demo hitting Japan's Xbox Live Dec. 5, NA demo 'a bit later'

According to the latest issue of Famitsu (translated by IGN), Xbox 360 owners are in for a real, albeit slightly morbid treat this holiday season. The Japanese mag has revealed that a demo for Capcom's delightfully entertaining zombie safari, Resident Evil 5, will be shambling onto the Xbox Live Marketplace on December 5th. Though the offline and co-op demo has yet to be confirmed for regions outside of Japan (we're already ~~eating~~ picking Capcom's brain on the matter), we have it on good authority that the internet can, in fact, reach all the way over there.

Update: Capcom has confirmed that the North American demo will be coming "a bit later" than the Japanese demo.

Seems like having a buddy rather than A.I. is the way to go, in my opinion. L4D is great,but RE5's (wonky)control's, with crazy legged undead folks thrown into the mix = some scary sh*t.

These seems kinda odd that its not going to PSN in Japan. I'd really think capcom would be stupid for not putting a demo up for both consoles. Well unless they aren't aware that ps3 is about 3:1 towards xbox 360 in Japan. My guess is Famitsu maybe hiding something? This just doesn't make sense to me from a business point of view.

It's common knowledge that Microsoft shoves its moneybags into this kind of activity. Especially from a business point of view, why would Capcom not deliver a demo for such a huge title on a console that is more prevalent in Japan?

on the other hand, i'm soooooo sick of that stupid full page ad. click on this blog post, got it. click to reply to someone, got it. and the worst part is i dont even know if its still the ozzy one or what because all i get is a huge black page unless you're advertising the color black, and this last time it didn't send me back to this page it just stayed there. i had to reload the page, very annoying.
