The Max Payne movie is expected to slo-mo dive into retail January 20, 2009, reports HighDefDigest. The film, starring Mark Wahlberg, shot up the box office when it first opened and eventually grossed $40 million in domestic ticket sales.
The film will be available on Blu-ray and DVD. No word yet if the director commentary will cover the "fundamental story flaws" between the movie and the game.

That was fast. Didn't it just come out last month. They must want people to get the dvd before they forget what the movie was even about.

That's what she said *looks into camera*
Having said that. I hope one day they release movies in the theater about 1 month to how ever long they keep movies in the theater (like 2 weeks?) and put them on sale right after so people like me don't have to wait 5 years and end up forgetting about the movie.

this is only my opinion, but i thought it was the worst movie i have ever seen. (at least in theaters, i have seen some crappy movies on TV)
I had never walked out of a movie until I saw Max Payne.

I've been waiting for 1/20/2009 for a very long time, but not because of Max Payne.

For a second I read the title as:
"Max Payne movie ready to come Home Jan. 20"
Then I realized it was just going to disc.

Although I am completely gay for Max Payne, it's a little weird to be having news about it coming to DVD and BluRay. It's pretty much inevitable, so why is this news?
Anyone notice that 1/20/09 just happens to be the changing of hands in the White House? Hmmm...
All of you saying Max Payne 3, what do you actually expect? I can't think of where'd they go from MP2. If you won on the hardest difficulty (which was a joke), you found out that SPOILER Mona doesn't die. So is MP3 (lolz) going to be their stupid quarreling about who shot which baddie, who's turn it is to open the door or pick up the shotgun? Unless he dumps her and goes solo, I can't see that game being as good as MP1.

@ ch3burashka:
i do believe that the alternate ending in which mona does not die is not considered canon by the developers.
and fuck you all. I Loved Max Payne. Sure it started kinda slow, but i kind of liked how there was more emphasis on the investigation. and the whole last half hour is just nutz.

The $40 asking price is more than both games combined. They better be included on the disk.
