I'm thankful that the Xbox 360 didn't tank like it's sibling and I'm also thankful I don't have to eat any stereotypical Thanksgiving foods this year. YAY!

I was unaware the Xbox tanked?

You do realize that the 360 JUST passed Xbox 1 sales like yesterday, right?

The XBox didn't tank. It didn't outsell the PS2.

Big difference.

Xbox definitely did not tank. It may only have sold 25 million, but that is good for a new console. If I were a Microsoft employee, I would have thanked Halo 1 & 2 for that.

Right now, I'd be thanking gears of war 2 & Halo 3.

I'm Canadian so we already celebrated awhile ago.

Thankful for Brawl at least since it's the only Wii game I can keep playing. Also TF2 + updates on PC even though TF2 was released last year.

And of course my family.

A sad day when people are actually thankful for buying the rights to play a game, not the game itself.

Kizzle, you always buy the rights to play a game, you do not own the IP, and owning a CD or DVD or Blu-ray does not mean you actually own the game.

We don't do Thanksgiving in Australia but i am thankful for many things living down here.

I'm thankful for a warm summer Christmas and petrol going from AUS$1.55/L to AUS$0.95/L

I'm thankful for our amazing tax and free health systems that are vastly superior to what the US has.

I'm thankful for our Prime Minister Kevin Rudd for injecting over 10 billion Aussie dollars into the economy with every parent getting $1000 tax free per child in 2 weeks and pensioners getting $1400 tax free at the same time (it's a gift not a loan).

I'm thankful for my Wii and all the great games i have for it.

I'm thankful for my wonderful girlfriend and 2 gorgeous kids.

I'm thankful for Dattebayo putting up fansubs for Naruto Shippuuden

I'm thankful for my early new-years resolution to follow a 12-week body transformation inspired by the many people on www.bodybuilding.com/fun/index.html

And I'm thankful that we here in Australia are not subjected to the cowardly terrorist attacks seen today in Mumbai and a few years back for 9/11

I couldn't agree more. A little humility goes a long way mate. We have a lot to be thankful for in Australia but being a dick about it doesn't help show who we really are as as Aussies.

Aww, Australia-boy seems to have an inferiority complex. I love how people from every other pissant wannabe country feel the need to point out how their home area is superior to the US. No one cares. Go play with a kangaroo.

My comment about the tax/health system was meant as a comparison, not a pay-out on the US. You really think at a time like this i'd be giving shit to the US and i'm really that insensitive? Are you guys really this sensitive around thanksgiving cause you ALL took that comment the wrong way lol. You guys need some chill-pills or something. I always thought most people here were generally laid back and would have seen that was a simple comparison and not a pay out. I took the day off work to watch the US Election and i always keep up-to-date with everything happening overseas.

And Roto, only the crap games got totally banned and 99% of banned games end up in our country with a tiny bit of censorship (some without censorship) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banned_video_games#Australia

My god thesimplicity, i'm starting to think my apology will just fall on deaf ears. You're not really that stupid are you. Not only did i NOT say that 9/11 was a good thing and i'm thankful it happened, but Australia just happens to have thousands of troop in Afganistan/Iraq right now (we lost another one the other day). I was giving thanks to the fact that we here in Australia haven't been subjected to those attack. Noticed i used the word 'cowardly', thats a fairly general term for condemning terrorist attacks *sigh*.

Obama is going to do great things for the US. I am looking forward to seeing how he manages to turn every aspect of the US around, from joblessness and homelessness to the economy and unifying the nation. He's already announced he'll lift the sanctions put against Cuba and shut-down Guantanamo Bay when he gets into office, two things we can all be thankful for. Maybe one day the homlessness, unemployment and crime rates will be as low (percentage wise) as they are here in Australia, along with a universal healthcare like ours.

Don't worry USA, you guys have some great stuff that we don't have, like much cheaper games/consoles (our Ps3 was $1000 on launch, straight currency exchange shoulda made it $850. and much cheaper petrol (tho out Fords and GMs are universally considered to be superior).

Yes i really am from Australia. I speak to people from overseas nearly on a daily basis, mainly from the UK but also from the US and they can't believe how amazing it is here, from our very low unemployment and crime figures to our beautiful weather and hot girls. It's a great time to be an Aussie.

I'm thankful that the Wii is still the "fad" that's beating the shit out of the psTRIPLE despite the Joystiq writers obvious hatred for the system.

I'm thankful that the ps3 is still in LAST place this generation and continues to get shafted.

I'm thankful that the 360 is still holding strong at 2nd Place and producing excellent titles that beat the shit out of all ps3 games.

I'm thankful that Final Fantasy XIII will be on the 360!

Now just bring Versus and it will be all gravy!
