Excite Truck wasn't the most well-received or widely-purchased launch title for the Wii, though there was something charming about sending gargantuan automobiles bounding across rough terrain. However, we haven't heard much from developer Monster Games since the title's 2006 release. A recent article in a Minnesota-based blog titled Locally Grown shed some light on the company's under the radar status -- they've apparently been working on a top-secret Wii title for the past two years.
The title, which many speculate to be another racing game (as it appears to be the developer's bread-and-butter genre), is nearly complete. However, don't expect any information about the project to leak any time soon -- the article explains that the cautious development team is so protective of the new title that they dim their computer screens when the bottled water delivery person visits. It's a ritual they apparently developed after being forced to murder their first delivery person, who accidentally laid eyes on a single screenshot.

I am curious to know why people keep saying this game so good. From all I have saw it is just average game. Saying is one of best ever race game of all time seem like a stretching of truth. If it's what you think it's what you think and I no say that is bad or not true - ok. Just from how I see things this game is easily to forget about it. Not look so good at all.
Sorry about my spell. I working on my english.

Err... Judging by this thread, and the shitty Wii launch lineup, it probably was... Unless you count Wii Sports as a purchased launch title in which case you're retarded.
Anyway, Excite Truck 2 would be cool, ET is one of the only decent games I have for the Wii, though it did get old pretty soon. I'd probably rather have a new F-Zero as long as they don't fuck it up, and I can't see why they'd be keeping anything else so secret...

If you think delaying a game by a year so that it releases at the same time as a port makes the port less of a port then you're an idiot. Would you consider Super Mario Bros a Wii game because it got released on the Virtual Console? I fucking hope not...

It's not necessarily for Wii. The original article just says they're working on it for Nintendo.

I doubt it, Monster Games hasn't made a single handheld game

They didn't make a single Wii game until Excite Truck either. There is always a first time.

It's a small studio, though. 20 people, they said. Could such a group make such a technically intensive work as F-Zero would need to be?
Something else in the Excite series is a greater probability, i think. Wave Race is out of the question, because the new Wii Sports basically has its own Wave Race in it

I really enjoyed Excite Truck, and I actually think it's one of the Wii's better offerings.

Sega and Nintendo made an awesome pairing for this F-Zero GX and if anything I'd like to see the same group returning. But on the other paw ExciteTruck was mega addictive and had possibly some of the best and most responsive controls in any racing game.
D-cijuns, d-cijuns ... to the people who didn't realize eff-0 was F-Zero that means "decisions, decisions"
And bring that Koji Kondo dude to pump us some proper music.

Hold on, I think I've got it! Monster games have proven they can work on an existing Nintendo franchise, but replace the vehicles with big trucks right? What about TRUCK-ZERO? :o

F-Zero Wii will probably be bundled with a Helmet Accessory, I mean a Helmet Shaped Plastic Shell for $89.99.

Dirt to Daytona 2? Pretty please? I'm dying for some more Dirt-racing love, there's hardly enough World of Outlaws style racing anywhere but sims on PC.
