Midway working on top-secret title that looks 'better than Gears 2'

Hyping up your upcoming titles that everyone already knows about is an ancient, outdated P.R. maneuver -- the apparent wave of the future is boasting about your top-secret hits of tomorrow. Midway, who desperately needs one of these aforementioned "hits", recently began following this up-and-coming trend -- in an interview with VideoGamer.com, Wheelman creative director Simon Woodroffe dropped hints of a heretofore unannounced Midway title that "looks as good if not better than Gears 2."

The secret title, which has been in development for three months, is reportedly "similar to Gears, but a totally different set up." We're not exactly sure what to make of that. Will the game follow a quartet of burly, foul-mouthed space marines as they spend a summer dispersed throughout their war-torn planet, sharing a pair of magical blue jeans that somehow manages to fit them all? C'mon, Midway! The suspense is killing us!

I play gears like 20x more than I've spend in MGS4. But MGS4 looks much better. We are talking opinion of course because looks are subjective. To me, it's a matter of art design, not graphical capability. Though, from a capability standpoint, the textures are higher res in MGS4, as walking up to any wall will prove, but there is more model detail in gears.

A while ago, Midway had said that they were working on an MK title that had an artstyle very similar to Gears.

While I doubt this is the project they are refering to, one can only dream.

I think Sonic Unleashed looks as good as gear of war in their own right, I'm glad the companies are trying to step up, flaws that we usually forgive in the last gen are unforgivable now, a tough lesson that squarenix is figuring out.

Hey if the game looks as good as gears then great if it looks even prettier? then more power to you midway because by the time the game comes out who knows what game is going to set a new standard.

Graphics are about one fifth of the equation, maybe less. How about good, fun gameplay, good story, good production, no bugs or glitches etcetera.

Maybe that is Midway's problem, they only concentrate on the outer shell and deliver a hollow product.
